8 days after drop in pred and neck hurting is this normal

I reduced pred by 1mg 8 days ago, today my neck is awful and feels swollen etc. 8 days seems a long time to all of a sudden flare after dropping the pred....

was diagnosed 2 weeks ago with PMR -GCA and put on 30mg pred, but I still have most of the symptoms , neck and shoulder pain, head pains,
