8 days after drop in pred and neck hurting is this normal

I reduced pred by 1mg 8 days ago, today my neck is awful and feels swollen etc. 8 days seems a long time to all of a sudden flare after dropping the pred. Wondering wether to go back up tomorrow if still the same.

Hi Sue,

I think you would have had trouble sooner if your symptoms were due to a flare. It may be that you just slept in an uncomfortable position last night. Did you take your extra pain killers to help with your neck pain? I often had swollen feet when I was on the higher doses. Try not to worry and wait awhile. Things may improve.

I am wondering if it is walking the dogs? I don't usually as I can't handle our older dog but got her a new lead to stop pulling and it works. The pulls a little trying to get next to the older one. So wondering if it has jolted me without realizing it.

Sounds like you're doing well. Don't worry. If you were having a flare, I doubt you'd be walking the dogs. How's Harley?

he is fab, so loveable and has to be near me at all times bless him. Hubby a little jealous at how he is with me I think. He pops up on the sofa next to me for a cuddle, Harley not hubby lol.
