My partner has a Pancoast tumour. Having chemo/radiation. Can surgery be done if treatment doesn't destroy tumour?

It's not easy to find information on Pancoast tumours. It is a NSCLC a Squamous. I believe surgery can be difficult. Does anyone have any experience of this?
