appears to soundly capture an aspect of the difficulty the medical community (& institutions, medical or otherwise) have with understanding & doing something about these 'unproven/ unprovable' approaches. 🤔

[A sad, unfortunate, troubling conundrum for (I'm guessing) the vast majority of sufferers . . . 😔 ]

Fortunately though, we can communicate with each other 🗣💬 . . 🗣💬 . .(as individuals) through this 'new fangled' electronic medium 💻 & share what we've learned with each other. (Hallelujah! 🤗 )

If proteins & nightshades aren't an issue for you, then 'give it a go'. 👍

For me, personally, I try not to overdo protein (I get enough from the foods I'm able to safely ingest. And, I've had no problems with nightshades.)

My understanding is some folks react to nightshades 🍅 🍆 — as it's all so unique to each of us — our unique bodily system. So (per usual), it's the typical 'try it & see' type of self-experiment.

If you don't get a reaction, then it's safe for you. 👍

(Nerve-wracking though 😖 when re-introducing foods; always concerned about re-igniting the inflammatory flame 🔥 . 😳 😱 )

And, have pretty much eaten whatever was 'conveniently about' (provided it was a 'safe' food for me) or wasn't nailed down 🔨 or moving 🐩 🐈 🐿 . . .

I'm guessing if we reach a certain phase of 'gut healing' (or whatever the proper medical/ scientific term is) — we can 'mix things up' — provided we're not 'reacting negatively' to it.

I'm guessing, as long as the particular foods are our 'safe foods' we can vary the times of day we eat them? Don't know of any 'hard & fast rules' once we pass certain threshold of 'gut healing'.

Oh, don't worry, your body will let you know if it doesn't like something. 😳 Pain, flare, inflammation, yada yada yada . . . is that nice, 'slap-in-the-face reminder' that we've 'gone too far'. 😱

How Maya, another young mother of 2 little ones, manages her RA:

• Maya was diagnosed with RA 6 years ago

• She started Methotrexate & went off it to conceive

• After 3 months she got pregnant & was able to breastfeed with few symptoms

• During her 2nd pregnancy she had to take prednisone because the symptoms returned heavily

• She found PP & started it after pregnancy

• She charts her progress to keep track

• Once on PP, flares went from every 7 to 10 days, to every 20 days & finally to no flares at all

• Bikram yoga played a major part in her recovery

• She takes probiotic supplements, which help a lot

• She’s no longer on any medications & is back in control of her situation
