Autoimmune
diseases
- bit of a slippery slope - a paediatrician friend once said when I shared my 4th autoimmune diagnosis. Now I fear I’ve got another to add to the list! Does anyone also have Systemic Scleroderma?

Autoimmunity may be due to failure of debris-clearing macrophages
A failure of tingible body macrophages (TBMs), a type of immune cell tasked with cleaning up its environment, might play a role in the development of
autoimmune
diseases
like lupus, according to a recent study.

John F. Kennedy - Autoimmune Diseases
I’m amazed how stoic he managed to be as, apart from his known back pain, it seems to confirm Dr J Chandy’s paragraph on JFK in his book, “Vitamin B12 Deficiency in Clinical Practice”; also that
autoimmune
diseases
often run in families, as well as being very common in those with Northern European ancestry

Which can leave us almost forgetting there are medicines which are used in some
autoimmune
diseases
. This trial should remind us. And make us ask if some of the psychological/psychiatric/mental health issues which some suffer could have an autoimmune cause.

Brooke Goldner's protocol for healing

Contraceptive pill and autoimmune disorders
I know some people here are super knowledgeable, and I just wondered what their thoughts are on
autoimmune
diseases
and the contraceptive pill. I have always avoided the pill, as didn’t feel it was right to meddle with my hormones.

Hashimotos - inflammatory arthritis - hydroxychloroquine

autoimmune
diseases
. I have dry eyes and basement cell dystrophy and as hydroxychloroquine can affect your eyes I don’t that it’s really good for me to have at all.

new autoimmune disease after stopping prednisone?
I know we are more susceptible to additional
autoimmune
diseases
if we have one but does this happen often?? I’m hoping not. I’m down to 1.5 mg after almost 3 years.
