Mindful jogging
What also helped me was remembering a couple of tips I learned from a
running
coach years ago: try to run as softly as possible (to avoid bouncing and plodding, which is tiring) and open up your chest (to inhale more air) by keeping your hands in a loose fist with the thumb on top.

electric tug down leg
It feels like someone has an electric cattle prod and
running
it up and down the back of my leg, it is horrendous. The op did nothing to relieve it. Has anyone had success with nerve blocks ?

Six weeks ago I felt well enough to start
running
again and I’ve been building up the intervals really slowly, sometimes repeating a week of the C25K program if I feel like it.

HU Spring 10k
Well, the rain was torrential and, as some of you know, I really hate
running
in the rain, so I decided to defer to today.

My “should have run yesterday” run
But I got it done. 2nd run of my 30min to 5k plan checked off and moving towards my goal of
running
regularly and solidly 5k distances again, And of course the whole time I was
running
, I was thinking of how sunny and fresh, magical and colourful the day yesterday was.

Duffield 5 Report (oh dear rather too long)
(Still use it as a pepper mill stand) Then I didn't run it again until
running
'came into my life' when I was 61. So I ran it in 2019 and 2023. Covid cancelled 2020 and injury prevented me
running
in 2021 and 2022. So what would 2024 bring?

Week 1!
It is hard for me to find time to run as I am limited to
running
in my garden. I can also only run when my parents are out as they are judgemental of health related activities. So proud of myself and I can't believe that I actually managed to do it! Looking forward to week 2!

Finding joy in hills, and shoes
No
running
this week. Just a quick photo looking down towards Rydal Water, as I am on my hols., from a climb yesterday to the top of Loughrigg Fell.

Stepping Stone 2nd rub
Today I did the stepping stone run for the 2nd time and those last five minuets I find really hard so I will not be progressing to the speed run until I have mastered that 5 minuets of hard
running
. Did not think that that full out last 5 minuets would be so difficult.

Hello after 5 years and big thanks
Fast-forward to now: for the last 2 years I am 8.5 kg lighter than when I started, i.e. on my dream weight - and
running
my 5k 2-3 times a week (cannot get under 34 min, though - that is the next goal).

Melatonin and tremors
I don't have sleep issues normally as
running
helps with sleep. But I have sometimes problem of acting up in night dreams and read that melatonin helps with it. I started taking melatonin occasionally on some nights.

W4R2 Done
I'm actually looking forwards to next week, I've never attempted W5R3 at the pace I'm jogging now (without completing the program and
running
for a while after anyway) so I'm curious. I may do some back and chest work this evening before dinner, we'll see how it goes. Happy
running
everyone.

All to do with

Running and osteopenia
As a runner who has been recently diagnosed with osteopenia in the wake of a stress fracture, I would like to learn more about fracture risk and
running
volume, also whether I should be looking at different shoes.
