As a runner who has been recently diagnosed with osteopenia in the wake of a stress fracture, I would like to learn more about fracture risk and running volume, also whether I should be looking at different shoes.

Get the book Great Bones by R. Keith McCormick, DC. He is an athlete, with a lot of fractures, and I'm certain is well versed in these things. He also has a website, you can set up a consult with him.
