ASICS 10K complete!
I was using it a lot when I first started
running
and was trying to run 5k. Since then I haven't stopped
running
and this year I have been taking part in different races. In May I did the Chase the Sun 10k race and I found it so much fun that I'm now race obsessed!

Run for Wildlife 5K
Had a fabulous time on Sunday
running
5k through the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. It's a great opportunity to see the animals before the Park opens 🥰 A different animal is chosen each year as a theme (there's also a spring 10k) and this time it was the red panda.

I’ve had a back injury from a trip and can’t run atm. I’m finding it’s really affecting my mental health. How do I deal with this?
Running
helps me to feel good and ‘resets’ my brain and body . It also helps with menopausal joint pain. I’ve not run now for more than three weeks due to lower back pain . I’ve seen my physio who has given me some stretches to strengthen my core and lower back but progress is slow.

here we go again😬
Original plan was to start with week 1 but I felt great after my warm up so when I started
running
I ended up
running
( slowly), for 4 mins, walking for 1 minute, 3 times and then walked home triumphantly.

CATCH-UP-CORNER...JULY WEEK ONE... SLIP of the running shoes and come on in. All RUNNERS WELCOME...🏃♂️🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
You pick up your
running
shoes and put them down again, the weather is bad, you are tired, it is not working,,, what is the point? There’s no motivation to keep
running
and sadly, for some, that is too much and... they give up.

Threshold vs Aerobic heart rate
Good day beautiful runners I have a question on the groups thoughts about
running
with your heartrate at the threshold heart rate zone vs aerobic heart rate zone. I run very, very slow and thought I was
running
at a slower heart rate, but my garmin watch is telling me differently.

ROWING: Week 2 of the 10k plan
But rowing is a bit different from
running
. And the distance plans do get you quite near quite early on, and then you work on speed. Last week felt a struggle, this week I feel strong. Strange.

nice to be home
after 6.5 hr drive from st ives yesterday I really needed to get out today … after 2 weeks off ( 1 with a stinking head cold and 1 away) I’m wasn’t sure what to expect but I managed 40 mins of
running
( in 3 blocks - 13,20 and 7) with 4 blocks of walking ( 15,15,10,5) in between so been out for 85

2023: W9R - Mental victory! :-)
-
running
should be for pleasure and not as pain. It's not about hitting speed and distance targets. I know Laura says this, but I was constantly pushing myself to do more and getting punished for it! :-) So I'm getting close to my goal :-) Happy
running
! You can do it too! :-)

Friday calling! Lots of pompoms needed this weekend for our VRBs 🥳🎽👟
Well, this is going to be a bumper pompom wave weekend as we have a flurry of VRBs meeting up,
running
up a storm and, no doubt, getting together afterwards for food, drink and merriment.

Pap17 I am still about
I have gone back to the beginning giving advice and my experience to new and returning runners giving them the confidence it’s not all about the speed but the fact the app will get you
running
for 30 minutes at the end.

Nrc 10k plan run 4
I have a funeral to go to on Friday and while it perhaps seems odd I'm wondering if
running
will help. Somehow we are both feeling strange and discombobulated. Our friend died very quickly with only three weeks from diagnosis to death. It has left me feeling rather at sea.
