Synthetic mytral valve
My concern is not so much getting back to
fitness
after surgery but more how much warfarin really affects day to day life. Also I was wondering, are there still no other alternatives to taking warfarin when one has a synthetic mytral valve?

Then I got cancer and lost a lot of
fitness
and strength, though I soon returned to walking and rowing. Six weeks ago I felt well enough to start running again and I’ve been building up the intervals really slowly, sometimes repeating a week of the C25K program if I feel like it.

Back again!!
I still did
fitness
walking 5k, 2or3 times a week as I didn’t want to lose my
fitness
again! So as I said I started running 7 weeks ago starting from scratch! It was great being back with my running friends and have made some new one with the current beginners group!

My 1st anniversary
Part of that positivity might be kicking back at being told whilst in hospital I'd not get 100%
fitness
back but I'd be lucky to be between 75% and 90% of my pre-op
fitness
. Even though I was 70 when they told me it was a red rag and made me determined to prove them wrong.

The C25K program has been really key in getting that
fitness
back and huge thanks to my coach Reece Parkinson; who according to his script feels we might have forged a bond. Somewhat oddly I think he may be right.

Week 5 into 6
Just briefly, I'm doing this after losing 6 stone in weight, I still have a way to go but I need to improve my
fitness
alongside my weight loss. I don't get much time to get on here so please accept my apologies I advance if acknowledgement of replies is slow, I'm not being rude.

Starting my new journey
Today I decided I am now ready to get myself back to a level of
fitness
I can maintain. I am ready to take it step by step.

Foam rollers!
I have a few bits already from when I've attempted to take up
fitness
and pilates previously but I'm noticing that a foam roller is something I may need but totally daunted about the length I'll need because of all the variations!

Private Fitness-to-fly hypoxia tests
Is anyone able to give me the name of a private company who provides a
fitness
-to-fly hypoxia inhalation test? It has been suggested that my husband should take one of these but it may take up to six weeks for a hospital appointment and we are due to fly in just under 3.

Varicose veins and returning to running after time off
I am ready to return to running and was wondering how long will it take me to return to previous level of
fitness
after having time off since January. I am an intermediate to advanced runner. How many KMs should I run, and will I be fit enough to run in a running race in 4 weeks? Any tips welcomed.

Any other second time rounders?
I completed the programme in 2019 and it was the turning point for my
fitness
for which I’m so grateful! Turned more to spinning and body pump in that time so hadn’t done much running.

ANY EXPERIENCE OF A QNIX SMARTWATCH PLEASE?
I am looking for a smartwatch (two year history of atrial fibrillation) which combines health and
fitness
data collection particularly heart rate and rhythm changes and step counting - the QNIX smartwatch appears to be very good but is only sold online so I cannot go and look at it.
