According to my
fitness
app, it says I went 4.06km today! Seems I may be on track for the elusive 5k! Good luck to everyone for your next run. We got this!

So, I ran…….. and I ran for my first 10K 🏃🏻♀️🙂 ( totally messed up the tracking on the Garmin tho’ 😂🤦♀️) …….That’s life !😉
Today I got up at 6 , lots of stretching and out to run , determined to get back to 2/3 runs a week and get my
fitness
back ( how many times I’ve written that one 😬🤦♀️) I optimistically chose NRC ‘ Fear Less’ 5K Run , really enjoyed it until my phone died at 3K . I will do it again tho’ .

Week 1 - Take 3. Can I keep it up?
I need to increase my
fitness
and I need to lose weight. I desperately want to regain a good level of
fitness
, feel healthier and look better. That should be enough to motivate me to keep going, right? The most frustrating thing for me is that I know I can do it but i don't know if i will.

dealing with specific sensations relating to trauma
the reason why it causes these emotions/sensations is because I was given a Fitbit at this one facility I was sent to in order to monitor my
fitness
level and monitor my heart rate while exercising (I had to get my heart rate to an average of 135bpm over an hour, and it is also connected to forced dieting

Week 5 Run 3 completed - boom!
I'm very proud of myself because I started with zero
fitness
and I'm very overweight but I have, so far, not needed to repeat any runs at all and am definitely on the home straight now to graduation. IT CAN BE DONE!

What fitness tracker is good for people that need reading glasses? ie. One that has large fonts.
I bought a fitbit inspire 2 last year and for the life of me I can't read my heart rate as the font is too small (can't be changed). What other trackers are out there that are easy to read? One that doesn't require me to wear reading glasses. (I'm over 50)

Can I still do my HM?
I have to start back cautiously, but assuming everything is OK, do you think I'll be able to run the HM I've got a place in at the end of June, or will my
fitness
have gone?!

Currently, I'm running a pretty flat route, doing well, know that there will be progress in my
fitness
and speed, but wondering about introducing some hill running. Any advice? Or is it too early? Thanks for having something like this, it seems really motivating.

SON and RUN
He used to row at national level so still has some of that
fitness
left, and although he is now a final year degree student he has given in and tried running to support his ageing father!! At the end of W7 he is running over 5K in 25 mins and is actually enjoying it.

Is 'Maximum Effort' too much?
I'm using a cheap
fitness
tracker and take a screenshot of my stats after each run. I've read IannodaTruffe's excellent article about heart rate and worked out that my Zone 4 ( 80-90%) is either 125-141 bpm or 131-147 bpm depending on the choice of method of calculation.

First run after a short (2 month) break
Stopped running due to work and DIY projects taking up all my spare time and being too tired to think about any
fitness
training, but this week I laced up my running shoes and went for a short run, my legs are feeling a little sore and stiff after a short break, but it felt good to get out and go for

wk3 run 2
I managed again pretty well, but I am concerned that I am not hitting 5k - even with the warm down and up I am about 3.5k - should I ramp up my speed now or should I just wait until my confidence and
fitness
grows.
