Feeling well again!

Finished W7R2 yesterday. My stamina is back and I’m feeling confident for next run. My advice, as an older runner, take time to build up energy by re-running weeks for as long and necessary. We’re all on different journeys and goals for our health and fitness!!!

Well done you..listening to our body and taking notice! But I don't know whether I agree with your describing yourself as an older runner....that would make a fair few of us , very old... and me?

At 73....?

Ancient!🤣

On you go, slow and steady x

I am a big fan of listening to your body! Strength exercise on non run days also helps x

Good advice for younger runners too! I often find training plans feel a bit relentless and I get tired. I usually insert a “drop down” week where I do shorter runs and recover before getting back on the plan. That works really well for me. I still feel like I’m progressing and tge lighter week feels like a treat which is such a mental boost!

The great thing about C25k (and most plans really!) is it’s a helpful tool and not a set of rules that must be obeyed in all circumstances. Adapting to fit your body is always best.

Enjoy your runs your way! ❤️
