Possible improvement of speech in Parkinsons patients with the encouragement and implementation of a daily walking routine.
It can increase cardio-respiratory
fitness
, muscular strength, and endurance. This may help improve breathing control, articulatory movements, and motor coordination involved in speech.

Balancing running, walking, gardening and S&F-ing
Aerobic
fitness
was strong, and my calves held up. I could feel the faint ache in the background, but rather as an ache to be run off and stretch those limbs.

Finished on Mother's Day!
One of the reasons that got me running was to set a good
fitness
example for our young daughter and today she and my husband came with me as I run my final run of the couch to 5k. Like many others I could barely run when I started but running today and graduating was a miracle!

Heart Rate Variability (HRV) concerns
I have a very low HRV of 13 which apparently means I am not doing well at all On the same watch it states that my cardio
fitness
is "high" so confusion reigns I am very anxious at the moment, the lead up to the ablation, despite it having gone well and no afib since end off January, but this has made

Tuesday’s Jeff 👍🏃♀️🥵
😊 It was another 4K run in just over 35 minutes - enough to push me a little and I’m sure it’s helping my
fitness
, as well as being in a beautiful location.

Good advice, glad I took it!😊
So, all in all, a good decision, I shall enjoy the journey back to 5k
fitness
rather more than the first time around I think! Thanks for all of the good advice.......its amazing how much our bodies can still remember, even after months of illness and couch surfing 😁

Zero to Hero, again! Feb 2024
A minor injury stint after finally starting a 10k plan turned into a longer work-workload enforced break, and add to that some lighter sniffles, some changes to my medication and all of this left me feeling quite at a lower
fitness
level than usual after 4 weeks of not running.

Duffield 5 Report (oh dear rather too long)
I first ran it with my children on the strength of my netball
fitness
in 1997 and don't remember what happened except that the children had t-shirts for finishing and I received a silver coaster.

Being injured is Sooooo frustrating
I can’t believe how quickly my running
fitness
has deserted me. The outcome for this week (more time had passed) is three quite slow 5km runs. Not exactly hamstring pain free, but good enough to show progress has/is being made. Now the long haul to regain my previous running distances.

I also bought my first piece of
fitness
kit apart from my beloved roller, I bought a wobble board. It's been great for making my left side man up :D if it doesn't I don't balance. It's also the source of much hilarity in the family, so well worth the money spent.

Adenomyosis, should I have hysterectomy?
I've worked really hard on diet and exercise to see if I can improve things, and I have lost two stone from my peak weight and improved my
fitness
, but the fatigue and sleep issues still persist. I've also had a lot of brain fog, and can't remember words and ideas like I normally would.

Thanks, Instructor57!
as he explained my aerobic
fitness
would have gone, not to mention my protection against injury. That was the best advice I could ever have had!

S&F Catch-Up: had any breaks from workouts lately?
I and family are on our way back to normal, but the length it takes to get back to the same level of
fitness
is requiring quite a bit of patience on our part. I’ve been doing the Tibetan Rites as part of my return, and they are the perfect mini workout for after illness.
