I just completed my first time, exhausted! I wasn’t sure if the jogging I was doing was too fast and I did try to slow it down, how do you know?! I had my iPhone in my pocket to listen to the app on the Apple fitness app just tracks my steps and distance for walking.

I also started wearing an Amazfit Bip 3 Pro watch and as it’s a budget watch, it’s not known for being perfect, it looks like I ran through one or two peoples gardens, or maybe in the road sometimes! I’m guessing the Apple fitness app is more accurate.

it’s frustrating because the differences are small but I’d like to record my runs accurately. What app do people recommend on their phone to record their run?

🍏Well done especially for starting on a rainy day! Please download our NHS Couch25K App which will give you all the answers you are looking for! The secret to running slowly is that you must be able to breathe normally and hold a conversation. That’s really slow! Let us know how you progress!

Hi yes I have I’m using the couch to 5k with Sarah Millican. I couldn’t find that bit of information although she may have told me to start with.

thank you! I felt exhausted yesterday. I made the rookie mistake of doing my usual exercise on Monday as well as running. I did yoga and some weights, I’m trying to figure out how I can still carry on with my usual exercise which also includes Zumba because I obviously really don’t want to give it up! I’ve just been on my second run, and no matter how I was out of breath, I think I’m still pooped from Monday! Lesson learnt!

Well done on your first run. GPS isn't always perfect, some of my beach runs look like I swam half way to France 😲🤣 but C25k is more about time than distance than pace, enjoy your progress

Wow beach running must be tough! I find walking hard going!

I usually run along the prom at the top, but if the tide is out I'll run on damp sand, I never care how slow I run or on longer runs if I take walking breaks, at 68 it has to be enjoyable 😀

I started off using RunGo because it had routes, I still use it for planning routes, it also tells you when you've run a km which is handy when you're trying to get to the 5k. I'm recording my runs with Strava now mainly because I upload bike rides to it as well.

Hello . I am revisiting C25K NHS which I downloaded from the App Store onto my phone. I have Steve Cram in my ear and I have no problems with it . Once you’ve completed the nine weeks you can then unlock a further three runs.

Good luck👍😂

I also record my runs on Strava.

Glad I did because my watch cut off the last part of my run!

Strongly recommend the Nike running app. Contains lots of guided runs. Provides you with information on splits/cadence, etc. at the end
