It's been a difficult couple of weeks. This sinus infection really knocked me sideways. I COVID tested at the start and was negative, thankfully. But the fatigue was overwhelming.

A few days ago I did a 20-min NRC recovery run at a 2/10 effort and it felt good to get out again. Yesterday, I went with only a 2/10 effort planned - I would run until I had had enough. It ended up a 6K run and was terrific. I really love slow-paced runs where you aren't out to prove anything.

Glad to be back!! Now on to that 10K training after a few more recovery runs to gauge where my fitness level is.

it’s not always easy when you’ve been unwell. Sounds like you’ve got it covered, though. Slow paced running is great anyway ! 😊

Thanks J2020! I really enjoyed it and thought it was a great accomplishment to maintain that slow pace throughout.

I seem to be able to run at a slow pace for hours 🤣

But I appreciate that faster runners sometimes find it harder, so well done 😊
