I first found out when at 38 I joined a gym for the first time, was having the
fitness

Exercise, PMR and Piriformis Syndrome
I feel I must try to improve my
fitness
but even a little exercise seems to make matters worse. I will be offered a steroid injection if this continues. Has anyone had success with this or any other way back to mobility? At the moment, my daily stiffness is hard to bear.

OCD, anxiety and food
Again my anxiety raised thinking about getting fat and losing
fitness
and on wasting food which I always hated. I'm out of control.....

Back with a 4 mile run 🥵
I need to work on my
fitness
in a safer, more gradual way! After all my muscle aches have eased, I’ll run during the day again. I know a few places I can go without getting lost. I think my relief at the end of the run probably shows in the photo - I’m 4th from left. 😊

Rehab suspended!
I have bought some new work out clothes in preparation as well as my new FitBit, so it's time to be proactive and start my own
fitness
programme. I was told there are some good work outs on YouTube which I need to find and I have some lovely walks around here to enjoy.

New diagnosis
We have an appointment with the oncologist to see if they can do anything to stop the spread but this will depend on mum's
fitness
, which at the moment isn't good. Just hoping for some support and advice from anyone going through similar experience. TIA.

FAQ C25k COMPLETED....WHAT NEXT?
If you are the latter, then bear in mind that the recommendation for cardio
fitness
is to do 150 minutes per week of heart rate raising exercise.

I've done 1 round of chemo (FCR) and have had cll for 3 years. The fatigue is one of the hardest things to deal with. After a half hour exercise, I'm exhausted and have to nap. How do you folks keep fit? Does anyone have a solution for this? Would energy drinks help?

W2R1 update
I have to say that I've never, ever been able to do that even at peak
fitness
. The pattern that works for me is 3 steps in and 2 out. That's my easy run pace and when I was running longer, I knew if I could keep to this breathing pattern I could carry on for miles and miles without any issue.

Newbie seeking advice to rest or not to rest?
Just a quick background on my
fitness
activity so far - I have been completing the 10000 steps for the last 12 days, but yesterday I took on the Week 1 - Run 1, and this morning I was just slightly tight/ache in the groin/thigh areas.

I HAVE HUNG UP MY RUNNING SHOES
I was told by all my medical team that my good
fitness
levels, strong heart and lack of other co morbidities meant that I could be offered all appropriate treatments and that my chance of full recovery were enhanced. At that stage the aim was eradication of the cancer.

Live for every day
Lost a few KG,
fitness
levels back up. EF drastically improved. BP back to low normal and that’s without meds. Started building a new house, importantly back on the bike! Where am I now?
