GCA AND CURVATURE OF SPINE
Is there anybody out there who is dealing with GCA and Curvature of the spine.I was first diagnosed with curvature at age 12.Wore a brace, which was extremely painful and did nothing. Yesterday, my nurse measured me, and I have lost 4" in height. Distressing. As a child, my Mother was warned of the danger

Isn't it just great to be alive sometimes?
I'm
back
to running, my previous
injury
seems to have finally done one, and my second W2R2 run was extremely enjoyable. I'm ready for W3 next time, but still glad I went all the way back to the beginning again.

First Day Completed
On the way home now . First day wasn't to bad . They didn't ask for my bank details or my DBS . I asked the teachers classroom who I'm in and she said they will probably do it Monday . I hope so . I learn how to do resuscitation . I was bit worried because I haven't got a lot of strength in my hands

Years of symptoms before DX!
Weird symptoms through school, weird thoracic
back
injury
at age 20 working at a big tire chain. 7 doctors later and 5 years, fixed! Lifting weights and healthy, I had a mild back flare up and leg numbness at 27 in 1998.

When to accept a new outlook
My husband is resistant to it since his first wife was in one with a
back
injury
and it brings
back
all those memories for him. It would also curtail his activities, sailing, walking, climbing, and I don't want that for him. When we met I was fit and joined him in all these with him.

It can be done! Run 7 week 3
Well after 3 weeks on the IC, due to health issue rather than an
injury
, I forced myself
back
to the gym to attempt week 7 run 3. I had in my mind it would be a 'practice' run due to the long break and after 5 minutes I thought this can't be done!

Lovin' it, lovin' it, lovin' it ... well ...
, "I'm so close, will I pick up an
injury
which puts me
back
?", "Which route will I take?", "Will it be raining?", "Should I shift my running time just in case?", "What will I do without Laura?" Oh, so many questions run through my head.

Finally have a diagnosis!
I had some issues getting a definite answer because I have a neurostimulator implanted due to a
back
injury
and was not able to have an MRI so I had to have a spinal tap done. Some bands showed up in my results and now my Dr wants the stimulator removed before she starts treatment....

Pace, Time or Distance
Getting
back
into my running after
injury
.. my first goal is 5km but this time I am so discouraged with my pace. I can jog 30min now at 7-7.30min per km pace. I am not built for speed and I am happy with that but I would like to be a little quicker.
