Knee injury (not running related) - when/how to start back?
Hi folks Made it to the end of week 7 on Monday and when I was home in the evening, I managed to walk into a wall with my knee bent and it hurt A LOT. Crumpled onto stairs, not able to talk ... Took two days of mostly rest with elevation and some walking/limping. I have had some knee problems before

How Dangerous is a long term Levothyroxine Overdose?
I spoke to the lead nurse and explained my circumstances as well as what they could do to make life easier for me, this is something I have learned to do since my brain
injury
back
in 2014.

Trying again ....
I got to week 8 .....and then had a
back
injury
😭 it completely wiped me out . I was off work , had all sorts of medication & physio & eventually recovered . I then tried again in July .. but lost the motivation & interest 😫 So , I now intend to start on 02 January .

Stepped on the scales!!
Went to the gym yesterday after being of three weeks due to a
back
injury
, do the gym a lot but let's just say "you are what you eat" and it's true I think if I've been to the gym and burned 600 calories I can have that cream cake that my feeder husband has bought me!

W1 r1 ....... again, one year on.
Last year I got to w8 and unfortunately a long term lower
back
injury
returned, I gave up for a few months and returned sporadically but always seemed to have a few back niggles, went to see a physio who’s just told me to restart but listen to my back, and take it easy, more walking less running, and

Coming back after injury and illness, would appreciate some advice
I’ve had five weeks off running, first of all with a knee injury and then, just as that was recovering, a fortnight laid low with a chest infection. For the last couple of days I’ve been feeling a lot better and thought I might try a run tomorrow. I’m really not sure what to aim for. I’d been regularly

C25k second time around... Garmin advice please
I’m finally getting
back
on track after my ankle
injury
. W8R1 completed today so hopefully
back
to running 5k again soon 🏃♀️😊 Anyway, last time i completed C25k I realised I really needed to get a running watch to easily track time, distance and pace.

Recovery during Coronavirus
Sam went back to work following his TBI (two years ago) far too quickly - his employers didn’t seem to appreciate the full implications of head

Pycnogenol and Tinnitus
I am looking into alternatives for the aspirin I now need to take daily. One of the products I've come across is pycnogenol. I am looking for a blood anti-coagulant but found some very interesting stuff about pycnogenol and tinnitus that I thought it might be good to share on the forum. It seems that

Whether to apply for pip
I currently work full time even through a
back
injury
resulted in operation, having to have a disc removed and another fused. Would this all entitle me to receive pip or would I be just wasting my time applying. Any advice greatly received

How do I get rid of shin splints?
Well, it is a fibromyalgia flare up, not shin splints, but they feel like that. When I get this bad flare up, I struggle to walk on my legs but then I sit down and the pain doesn't ease. Any recommendations?

Tapering
Are there any typical tapering schedules? Worried (very). Diagnosed in June and initial 30mg 'cured' everything and more. Tapered down to 5mg by dropping 2.5 to 5mg per month . November had a relapse - body more or less ok but severe pain in fingers and wrists so went to see doctor - a DIFFERENT doc

Have you been able to return to work following your brain injury?
What strategies helped you to settle
back
into work? What would you like to tell other brain
injury
survivors about returning to work?

TRH Stimulation test
I have had Hypothyroid symptoms for four and and half years, but my bloods are within reference ranges. Just wanted to ask if anyone on the site has been diagnosed using the old TRH stimulation test, and if so how long ago this was, and if it was on the NHS or through a private endocrinologist? Thanks

Levo, Anti-thyroid meds’ and Ativan?
Wondering if anyone has any information on taking Ativan along with Levo and propylthiauracil? Going on a long flight and I have a severe fear of flying, and heights. I think I’ve been sick with worry for over two weeks now. I’ve had this awful rocking sensation like being on a boat and it’s lasting

Any other new moms with back pain?
I should also say that I know I don't have an
injury
or serious issue with my
back
. It's just really tense and uncomfortable most of the day. Thank you!

A lifeline for leaky lung cells .
Pulmonary edema is a life-threatening condition characterized by abnormal accumulation of intravascular fluid in alveolar air spaces and interstitial tissues of the lungs due to vascular leakage across the alveolar-capillary barrier. Currently, there are no specific therapies to improve vascular permeability
