Strength recovery
The pain has subsided to intermittent after a week with spasms in right pec, tricep and
back
. Strength is very weakened to around 20% of pre
injury
. How long before strength returns?

Coming back after an injury
Well I did a very silly thing at the beginning of January. I sprained my ankle. Little did I know that it would throw such a massive spanner in the works with my running plans! I had planned to run/walk a 25km run in June, and I now feel it's not really feasible. I haven't been able to run and only

Who do I see???
I’ve only ever visited an osteopath as I’ve only previously had
back
and hip problems. It’s not an obvious
injury
so do I need to see a physio? Would a sports massage be able to iron things out, as it could be just over tight muscles? Thanks all 🤞🙏

Running again! 500 calorie burn this morning!
So I would rather go slow and enjoy my run than push it and end up
back
on the
injury
couch and unable to run at all!!!

Back running after MCL injury
I got to week 8, sprained my MCL, and after a month’s rest (crutches etc) I am back running. Have gone back to week 3. Taking it very carefully. Had my gait analysed and saw how much I pronate so will be getting new shoes. So do stop as soon as your knee hurts especially older runners like me (65

New Parkrun PB
At times since I have struggled with a
back
injury
and have tried to keep running when I was feeling better and off the injury couch. The one thing which kept me motivated when trying to get into running again was this forum. It’s an amazing community, so thank you everyone.

Checking your own medications - lesson reinforcement!
I have written about our wonderful xmas with OH in hospital before. Today we have a new instalment to add: Another detail to add to David's "perfect storm" event over xmas: he is on diltiazem hydrochloride (a calcium channel blocker) for BP/atrial fibrillation. Apparently this drug increases the blood

Back on track!
After a bit of a blip just before Christmas with an
injury
, I’m
back
running 🥳 I was one run away from completing the 5k, so due to the break I’m building back up to it gradually. But I will do that last run 🏃♀️ and get my trophy 🏆

2 years since I started
Since then I have stayed running in between breaks on the
injury
couch and laziness, but I kept coming
back
. But since January I have dialed it up and started interval training. I have lost 2 stone in weight and 6 minutes off my Parkrun time.

For those thinking about c25k
I suffered a minor set
back
in October with a knee
injury
and other issues. Doctor and phyiso have given me the go ahead to start again. So I'm starting the app again to get me fitter for my upcoming operation. Then after recovery I'll start the app again.

The Mystery of the Knees: Solved!
After a chat with him and an examination, he discovered that an old
back
injury
was the culprit of my knee pain! I’ve broken my tailbone, at the very least, maybe three times- I always fall bum first.

Back from injury
I did this program at the beginning of last year and got as far as week 5 before an
injury
set
back
(inflamed piriformis muscle). This stopped me from working out in any capacity for the best part of 8 months whilst I was having physio.

Total Body Irradiation Dose Escalation Decreases Risk Of Progression And Graft Rejection
Promising trial results reducing risk of GVHD and progression. “The primary endpoint was day 200 hematopoietic cell transplant failure, with the objective of reducing the incidence to <20%. Primary endpoint was reached on Arm A at dose Level-1 (300 cGy total body irradiation) with a cumulative incidence

Eustachian Tube Disorder and tinnitus
Really hoping someone can give me some kind of hope on here as I’m getting myself very upset and stressed (I know I shouldn’t as that can make it worse but it’s hard!) Some background info: I got very low level T a year ago from tonsil stones/swollen tonsils. Had tonsils out in July with complications

rna cells and bronchiectasis
Hi. Check out Science daily. There is an article on lung disease. Cant pretend to understand it completely but here goes. Researchers have found a way to deliver rna (this is a form of dna in mitachondrial cells) anyway, this rna can deliver certain proteins to the lungs which help the lung cells to

so very tired
So I feel like a zombie, the fatigue builds up, sharp pains happen in my arm and
back
(
injury
arm), depression, anxiety, anger, frustration, wanting to isolate, and waking up feeling like "why the hell didn't I just die in that accident. I shouldn't be alive."

Hyperacusis! And it's getting worse! Help me and give me some advice!
Hi, I am 16, and I have Hyperacusis , I am not sure when I got it, but I reckon it was about 6 months ago, I used to listen to music a lot, 1-2 hours a day at least. I think the cause if my Hyperacusis is because of exposed to loud noise in a long time, my Hyperacusis was fine at the start, it wasent

Advice yesterday from the sports
injury
therapist was to cut
back
running to 20 mins but given the discomfort I'm in, I think it's best if I drop back a week and properly rest. On the plus side I'm over 20lbs lighter than when I began this journey, so it's having the right effect. :) Oh fiddle!
