Working up to 10
Research suggested it was a peroneal tendon
injury
, which implicates overtraining, but when I swapped
back
to my old knackered trainers, the pain didn't happen. So I'm going to try to get my gait reassessed in case it has changed since I started running, and the new shoes no longer suit.

A wonderfully rainy run - not far, not fast...
I'm still not
back
at week 8 yet following
injury
3 months ago, but at least I can now get out for combined long walks/10-15 minute runs. Had a lovely run in the rain today and really enjoyed a very watery jog down our old railway line (now a cycle/bridle way) with my fourteen year old son!

PIP RECONSIDERATION....
Got my reconsideration for Pip a few days ago, was another zero points of daily and mobility. This time the DM said in summary I opened a door with right hand...I am left handed with left hand and lead with the left. And as far as I can remember my daughter opened all doors for me. My diary and

Finally off the injury couch and back to week 1 run 1 (take 3!) Yaaay!
Tried a few weeks ago with week 1 then sadly limped
back
to the
injury
couch as ankle was having none of it. Since then,I have been doing ankle strengthening exercises at every opportunity: in the queue at Sainsburys, waiting for the kettle to boil etc and it seems to have worked.

500 miles for my 50th - long overdue update
Thought it had improved so tried a few runs at the end of May, but found myself
back
on the
injury
couch which was a real pain (literally!) Anyway I have been following exercises the physio gave me and using a leg support which seems to have made the difference.

Doctor surprised I'm back driving after head injury
In July 2012 I was involved in a serious car accident, my main injury was serious head injury. I was in coma 8 days and made a very fast recovery. I do not remember the accident at all which is probably a good thing. I know pretty much everything that happened including by far the worst thing of losing

GCA and sense of smell
Since dropping to 10 mg this week I have had a strange phantom smell like something smouldering. Should I be worried do you think? I am also getting periods of sharp pain in the side of my head again.

The causes of fibromyalgia
Hi everyone, Do any of you give any thought to why you have developed this condition? My haìrdresser has also recently been diagnosed with it and we were talking about it today. We both used to suffer from anxiety and depression and weirdly enough, the subject always turns to our childhoods, and that

He has a heart condition and
back
injury
so losing weight, eating healthy, is really the only logical option for him. He is retired and I am on disability from many injuries to the neck and lower back, plus medical conditions.

Low FIO2 Levels
This is the same thing that happens to me but only when I am in an exasperation, however; by the time I get an appointment with the pulmonologist I have started to feel better. So my FIO2 may drop but not as drastically or as much. So they have always looked at me like I was crazy. There in were the

My lungs today!
Hi everyone, today I had an appointment with the pulmonologist. I have been having some issues lately, and his nurses always take my pulse-ox at rest. Needless to say it is always good then. So I asked for a reading with exertion and we walked about 15 meters and I walked 1/2 of a flight of stairs and

RUN REPORT TURKS HEAD 10K!
My longest run since coming

Treatment in Germany?
