Oops I did it again...
Fortunately only soft tissue
injury
to neck,
back
hurts a bit and the place where I headbutted the van hurts and a slight headache. At least the pains have nicely slotted in with the RA, hips hurting and IBS pains. On the plus side Rheummy consultant on Thursday.

Concerned after hitting head during a fall
When the evening they still haven't arrived I had another assessment done over the phone and again was told its unlikely I had a serious
injury
but should go
back
to my gp or the nearest A&E. I had a good night sleep that night and felt reasonably good the next day.

Discussion: Concussion in the Medical Community and Society
Sending a patient home five hours after
injury
and telling them to "come
back
if they do not improve" is in itself a flawed approach to treatment because a concussed person may not have the ability to judge exactly how they are feeling.

More like week 18 than week 8 - keep plodding ☺️
I'm not sure I'll manage to do w8d2, perhaps better to take a it a week
back
to avoid further
injury
. Anyone else experience a lengthier road than 9 weeks but got there in the end? I refuse to believe that I'll never run and be fit again but my body seems to have different ideas!

Trouble with calves after I/c break
I was out for five weeks with an
injury
and now find I am having trouble getting
back
to fitness as my calf muscles tighten so much when running. Any suggestions before I give in and return to physio?

Week 1 run 1 - I'm back, yay!
I managed to complete week 1 but had to pull up due to a knee
injury
. This set me
back
a number of weeks but with several physio appointments, a foam roller and knee exercises I felt I was ready to start again.

GCA and Pred reduction
I started at 60 mg Predisilone and am now on 45 mg. How do you know if you are getting a flare or a reaction to the reduction - ie your body doesnt like having less steroid? Also - I think I have been suffering from Sinus problems but I think I read that GCA symptoms can include sinus - does anyone

Herniated lumbar discs and IBS
Is my lower
back
injury
causing the bowel and bladder issues? If so will surgery on my lower back help relieve this awful pain or is it permanent? Thanks for your help in advance!

Thoughts can help RA
Each of us is an individual and each affected differently by this disease, the way we think about it can also make a difference, sometimes without us even being aware of what we are doing. If we refer to ourselves or think of ourselves in a negative manner this becomes a habit and a habit thats hard

PROGRESS OVER THREE YEARS........AND A WARNING.
I was gripped by a virus right through Christmas and then just as I was recovering in January, I got a non running related
back
injury
, which kept me from running at all for a month and then necessitated very careful build up over the next few months.

It all stems from a
back
injury
that I had for a few years (which I've now recovered from). My weight and lack of fitness got so bad during this time that it now seems overwhelming to undo things. My healthy usual weight is 10 to 10.5 stone.

Could it be??
Short history - 14 years ago my baby was delivered by C-section following a
back
/SI joint
injury
at 36 weeks after suffering SPD. No issues or suspected endo before this birth. I'm here now because my last 2 periods have been very bad and painful in my hip/leg area.

5k one run early
Bit of a lurker Followed programme on physio advice - nasty ankle
injury
and building it
back
up by walking/running on playing fields has helped. I was surprised how hard the early weeks were but also how quickly you make progress - I had faith in the programme and made the seemingly big jumps.

Hi 🙂 Just Joined
I ended up with a few herniated discs a year later which made me unable to work, and was send to a neurologist for pain treatment and to keep an eye on the
injury
since now a nerve in my
back
is pinched.
