Honesty.
I often wonder what I'd do If I hadn't got COPD I wouldn't be restricted I'd be completely free I'd go for climbing Everest Or skydiving I would be Or
swimming
across the channel In a very stormy sea I'd run a daily marathon And do the fastest mile I'd do a full months shopping Without collapsing in

83 yr male ,PMR many years ,weakness in legs, doing reasonably well or was !....
Had got back to weekly
swimming
. However, last few weeks, legs really ache , swollen, weakness. I have reduced my PRED to 11mg/day in the last few months. Wonder whether the legs are a FLARE with the reduction of PRED.? Considering increasing to cope? What say you PMRPRO?

The years of
swimming
and pilates to get over an operation on my back, had kept me flexible and at a relative level of fitness, but when your pushing 50 and surrounded by 20 and 30 year olds running round a rugby pitch, it certainly highlighted my lack of aerobic fitness.

Waterproof swimwear to avoid UTIs?
At last I have tried out my waterproof shorts in the
swimming
pool. You can see them in the photo with a near-matching tankini top. Just to make sure I had extra protection I wore waterproof pants underneath.

Think a couple are going
swimming
tomorrow. Alot of it is really for support and company. Alot like these forums. So 2 of us went to the gym and then 3 of us done a run straight after. So today I done this.

Running and swimming and boyfriends
Tonight I went
swimming
and was very pleased to do 40 lengths of alternating crawl and breaststroke. I can’t quite decide which is harder;
swimming
or running! But my VO2 max has at last returned to ‘excellent’, which makes it all worth while.

In focus: travel - suncare
Apply it before going outside and reapply every two hours during the day, especially after
swimming
, if you’re sweating or if it could have rubbed off such as when drying yourself with a towel. Don’t keep sunscreen where it can get hot, as heat can stop it from working.

Arse pain is getting worse☹️
So me and a friend started
swimming
😜 well arobics to start but that hurt... A lot. So I buggered off and done a couple of lengths. Can't do breast stroke or front crawl with leg's kicking? That hurts ! Back stroke with just legs going, no pain ? Front crawl with just arms going, no pain ?

Biking, elipticals, even
swimming
although I don't know if heart rate monitors are waterproof. If you're heaving, bent over trying not to barf, that's close to your maximum heart rate. [/i]

Not really running but it's rest day activity
I didn't really pay much attention to time, it's a non work day for me and it's weekend here but I had my Garmin set to swim which is a good job because once I start
swimming
it can be the same as running, I loose track of number of lengths, time, etc, because I'm normally so relaxed when
swimming

6 Month Post Ablation / Holiday Take 2
Been in NSR since and walking a good 2 miles a day and
swimming
every other without issue and dropped a bit more weight which I thinks helped. Having a 5 day hop in Calpe in Spain, and so far so good, everything crossed 😂.

Usernames and pictures?
😢 So I’ll have to send them back and wait for a smaller size to arrive before I can risk going into the
swimming
pool again.

Mumma's on the run...
Running is a big thing for me because I have always found it to be a chore compared with
swimming
or gym classes. But now I don't have time for those things!

Post Sapl suction and doing well
Thank God for
swimming
pools. I walk a mile to 3 a day and when weather is warm I get into pool and use my underwater bicycle or treadmill while listening to music. No need to wear garments when in the pool so that is just another plus.

Reducing Bisoprolol dosage.
Hi my husband has been on Bisoprolol 10mg daily for 15years along with several BP tabs for high bp, At his last medication review his pulse rate was down to 37,(he did a lot of
swimming
in his teens) and has always had a low pulse rate 44-48,the cause of this drop to 37 was put down to beta blocker dose

Finally had a good day - I think T3 is starting to work!
Yesterday I went
swimming
. Only managed half an hour and I took it easy. And today I actually felt good. (Before I was punished the day after I did any exercise.) My head fog is clearing and I can actually think!!!

Doing exercise with hashimoto's
Is it still safe to do exercise e.g. running, gym and
swimming
when I feel able to or do I now need to be considering this in light of now having hashimoto's? Thanks.
