Cold 🥶 🧊 water 💧 therapy anyone?
My question to you helpful lot is, does anyone partake in cold water therapy or
swimming
? Did some 12 degree plunge pooling last week (without looking up dangers). Can cause tachycardia and arrhythmias due to dropping your body temp. Obviously 🙄 you need to build gradual tolerance.

Stiffness in muscles and tendons
I’ve gone back to
swimming
a few times a week and found this helps a bit. Does this happen for anyone else, and do people have specific stretch routines that helps? I really feel as though a desk job sitting all day really doesn’t help much either.

Heartbeat keeps skipping a beat
I did cold water
swimming
in November and that seemed to aggrevate it more. I tried to capture it on the heart rate app built into my phone (see picture) you can see there's a long drawn out beat. Instead of a series of regular beats.

Feeling Wobbly
I have suffered with Vertigo for many years, but lately have been experiencing an unsteadiness in my head without the room
swimming
(which is my normal experience with vertigo). It is not there all the time, but I am aware of feeling more unsteady. I cannot really explain it to be honest.

🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️ Catch Up Corner June 1: How’s it going?🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Perhaps it’s exercising in other ways such as
swimming
, walking or cycling which don’t work your body in the same way as running. Maybe it’s a good time to think about what you’re eating and drinking and how that’s supporting your body.

muscle wasting
looks a better shape and a more normal size , where as the other one looks swollen in a way, I also have some varicus veins on the big leg which I didn’t have before so I’m wondering if that would cause fluid build up and not as good blood flow which is why I’m not losing fat on that leg , I do

Undiagnosed condition
I tried
swimming
but unfortunatly had another attack so had to stop. More recently* Twice directly after a shower and what has completely made me freak out is twice after puting on cologne. Has anyone ever seen or heard of these symptoms before with a niche diagnostic?

Sadly
swimming
is over for this year due to the sun not being out long enough to heat the lake. I could still swim in my trisuit for a couple of weeks. That takes more energy and time getting ready and keeping my trisuit dry.

Post RA diagnosis return to Sports or NOT.
Prior to RA coming on overnight I was very keen and active in most Outdoor Pursuits (Skiing, Trail Running, Mt Biking, Kayaking, Open Water
Swimming
etc), one of my reasons for moving to Scotland to complete Munroes (now done).

Vacation time?
Muscle loss is noticable and has caused some issues when I try some of my old
swimming
/bodysurfing routines. (I'm 77) . Reason for all this is that I'm considering a drug vacation to build some strength back. My MO is a bit reluctant but less so recently.

I will compartmentalize that by using open water
swimming
as my only ... Thinking about that is going to happen anyway. The first part of a business plan is to honestly evaluate assets. That always sucks due to the honesty.

CT scan booked - worried
Since this discovery, I have lost 20 pound, my recent HBA1C is avg 55, blood pressure is avg 120/75 and I am
swimming
/walking twice a week without any problems. BUT they are very insistent that I must have coronary problems and are saying I MUST have a CT with contrast.

feeling the cold
the thought of
swimming
, although I'd love to do something in addition to the daily walking, fills me with horror because of getting into cold water, getting out and being cold.
