6 Month Post Ablation / Holiday Take 2

Hi all, Just a quick post after my ablation in April.

6 months now, flashes by you hardly notice it, a short blip after the Cardioversion I had to have in lanzarote in July but alls going well. Been in NSR since and walking a good 2 miles a day and swimming every other without issue and dropped a bit more weight which I thinks helped.

Having a 5 day hop in Calpe in Spain, and so far so good, everything crossed 😂.

I do feel much better in myself, happier, less stressed and much more settled than the constant bouts of AF which haunted me.

For me the Op was a success even if it doesn't last forever, it means I sleep better, can walk without feeling tired all day, have a cheecky glass of lager, which I tried and can now have without instant AF like it used to induce.

Still on 2.5mg bisoprolol which is until I see Dr Murray in 2020 for another check, but according to my monitors the ticker is behaving itself and I do hope to get off it eventually, best decision I made personally and it feels like I have my life back .

Hope your all well and the pic sends some cheer to the gloomy UK picture I've seen on the news.

Good to hear your doing well too Una, it's what we all think I suppose isn't it but it's not stopping me living life now, and I was terrified first beer, was sat there like a rabbit in headlights for hours after, but all good, and it's something I don't have all time but a one off treat, keep in touch and hope it goes well, I think my checkup is in late Jan as well, if I don't speak before have a lovely Xmas and New year x

Delighted for you, can I just ask was it just one ablation you had?

It was mate yes, a complicated one at Freeman under DR Murray, new mapping system and method, for them anyway. Over 6.5 hours on table but staff were exemplary, and can't speak highly enough of Steven Murray, a decent guy and very transparent and caring.

We have a few things going on for sure and although the boys don't let me do so much these days I'm still in charge of engines.
