Had the most amazing weekend with my best friends of over 40 years. Relaxing in the hot tub, talking and putting the world to rights, a few serious discussions about Brexit and watching the Rememberance Service on Sunday morning but most of all none stop laughter throughout. I was feeling pretty grotty at the end of my 6th Ibrance and Letrozole cycle but this weekend has really lifted me up. I know not everyone is well enough or arent as lucky to have so much support but for anyone who is able to, please dont let fear of germs or being unwell stop you doing the things that make you happy. It really is the best medicine
Ps I was sensible though thats me wrapped up warm and my glass of water -v- gin. I did have a couple later and a quick couple of 10 min sessions in the tub but the whole weekend Fri to Monday spent in PJs n swimming costumes - not a bra or make up in sight!! Bliss

There’s nothing beats female company and a bit of naughty behaviour....I have good chums and always enjoy their company...they’re all big drinkers though so I have to be sensible (sort of)
I love a girls trip! Always so much fun. Just did the Inner Harbor in Baltimore with my besties and weekend before last and forgot all about cancer for awhile. Yes to laughing and enjoying and memories!
Thanks Barbara. Got a couple of dinners in with different friends then off to Fuertaventura on Sat lurday with the hubster so lots of good stuff coming up. X
Aw how lovely Sandra. You do have the best relationship with your Onc. Defo enjoy having a couple of snifters. Did have to be sensible though because my friends are a bit hard core. We had 9 bottles of different flavoured gin and 18 bottles of Prosecco lol. They didnt drink ALL the gin but they had a good go, naughty cookies lol x
Glad you had a fabulous tine Josie.
Your friends look like they aren’t moving from that hot tub!!
Sounds great! you brits crack me up with your word choices i.e. swimming costumes??? laughing coz I had just told hubby, who is british, just this morning, that we are still separated by language because he was making a joke about the blue paper on a firecracker and I said, "you mean fuse"? HA HA ... ruined the joke coz I didn't get it .... old friends are the best, I am blessed to have a few of over 50 years so I know what a treasure they are! <3 xo God bless you and heal us all in Jesus name, amen!
Aw haha. I nearly wrote cossy but thought no one would understand what I meant - even some Brits lol. Im from Yoskshire and we virtually have our own language haha. Ah my golden girls are the best. Love em to bits. Thanks x
in Texas, we call 'em bathing suits or swim suits, ain't that grand? ... hubby said, again, that Winston Churchill said we are two countries separated by a common language; some say it was George Bernard Shaw's line, but then I read Oscar Wilde said it first in 1887 LOL ... I'll stick with Oscar Wilde coz I like his name! <3 xo Anyone reading this, you be healed and well in Jesus name, amen!
