The " It's alright, it's okay..." run
I ran down , easy paced, not allowing myself to speed up at all, over the railway crossing and along the Esplanade; deserted for now, except for the first early arrivals for the Sunday
swimming
group.

Activity restrictions on peritoneal dialysis?
I just attended my first PD orientation and I am very sad to learn that once the catheter is in place I won't be able to soak in a bathtub or go
swimming
. The RN didn't seem in favor of doing other strenuous sports like snowboarding or running.

Week 5 run 1
I'll have to start taking my
swimming
stuff with me for a rapid post run cool down as the itchy akin has started.. That and antihistamines... Beautiful day tho and good to be out. A slow 4k done. Had to take a photo as I went past my hives.

DA TRUFFE ABOUT RUNNING..........NATURE'S BALM
When, in May 2022, I had to hang up my running shoes, because the cancer had made my spine too fragile to risk the impact, I still kept walking, cycling and
swimming
, immersing myself in the natural world as much as I could.

bad news
I have been in a lot of pain for the last 3 weeks due to going
swimming
for the first time in 2 years, resulting in a huge "flare up" in my back. I can no longer take naproxin or any other prescription anti inflammatory due to the side effect of stroke or heart attack!!!

My 24 son who is Autistic (high functioning) was diagnosed with ARVC 3 years ago after collapsing while
swimming
. Forever thankful to the amazing resus team. Looking for tips when flying with this condition. Our last flight he got very light headed and was not feeling good.

Bushy Pilgrimage ⚠️ Long Post
It has to be said, we were pretty disheveled and sweaty at the end of that, but we walked 20 minutes through the lovely grounds to Hampton
Swimming
Pool (36m open air) which we had booked online during the week.

Hypoxia, transplant dry runs and raising awareness of IPF
Unlike the previous incident in a lake in Austria where I'd also been
swimming
, my breathing wasn't affected at all. However, I was so weak and kept getting dizzy when trying to stand up to get back up the hill to the car and go home.

Update with some optimism and a D3 question
Went
swimming
in the ponds early this morning. Little duckings skittering about. My brain is no longer liquidising. Things are getting better.

The Lure of the sea.
When I was really ill with anxiety,
swimming
in the sea was the only thing that completely removed the feelings of anxiety and nausea etc I was going through. As I started to get better the relief would last for several hours.

Sore glutes
This is the same for my swims too, I feel running is helping my
swimming
and
swimming
is helping my running. Been doing some weights too to help.with strength. I feel I'm very good at stretching, hold each stretch for 20 seconds. I'm due to run today and my but is killing me.

Cold Swimming -good or bad for arthiritis? My own take on it...
Unless you've been under a rock for the last 3 years, you will have been bombarded by news articles about the open or cold water
swimming
craze... 18 months ago a friend suffering with anxiety and asked if I wanted to try open water
swimming
(which it's supposed to help).

CATCH-UP CORNER...AUGUST...WEEK 2... COME on in and REST awhile :)
On some of our REST days, we may do some low impact exercise, just to keep everything moving,
Swimming
, aqua jogging and walking,,, a great way to get the fresh air and just take it all in. Simple everyday tasks, housework, a spot of gardening, normal activities.

My PMR Update
I am able to do more exercise and
swimming
again and have resumed my regular 5k walks. My hair has grown back much thicker and my hairdresser has notice a considerable difference in the condition of my hair. My only hope is that I don’t have a relapse but so far so good.

Olaparib and exercise
I walk most days, do a parkrun every Saturday (walk some of it) and have started
swimming
twice a week. It might sound like a lot and more than some can do but it’s all done at a very slow pace, I struggle with breathing and physically can’t increase my pace.

What is your dizziness like?
I continued walking and returned to my usual state of tinnitus in my right ear, and my vision
swimming
slightly. With a written letter of support from my audiologist I now have an urgent referral by my GP to ENT.

What to use for when toddler goes into pool
My 2.5 year old has never been in a pool/
swimming
before and we're going on holiday in April and will have our own pool to use. Can anyone tell me what I might need in terms of inflatable ring/arm bands? I'm completely clueless.
