struggling to cope with COPD
My peak flow is usually around 300 during the day - I take regular excercise
swimming
and walking. In general my life is normal. BUT I have developed a cough - not constant but very unpleasant - a smokers cough I suppose although I have not been a regular smoker for many years.

The effects of regular swimming exercise and melatonin on the neurons localized in the striatum of hemiparkinsonian rats
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36223003/ The melatonin mostly had a positive effect on motor activity tests. rats, I know.......still might be a beneficial study.

abdominal pain whilst exercising
In my efforts to get healthier post alcohol I’ve taken up jogging and
swimming
. Once exercising I often get a tight painful abdomen which means I can’t keep up the jogging for long. It’s not so bad when
swimming
. Is this pain likely to be liver related? Has anyone else had this when exercising?

who would be interested in a wellness Retreat in Ecuador next year? :)
🙂 It would include many great activities such as outdoor dining,
swimming
, some light breath work, meditation, QiGong, light Yoga, board games, bonfires (with s’mores!!), water activities watching sun sets/sun rises, story telling/sharing and much more! Finally an eco summer camp for adults!

Cooler weather
Perfect for 5km on our usual route along the road following the beach...and only 44m ascent :) We dropped our towels at the
swimming
place and set off. I doubted that I'd go in the water, I only swim when it's boiling hot.

Pegasys dosage question
What I weigh is the balance between wanting my platelets to come down, but also wanting to feel well enough to do all of the things which are good for me like hiking
swimming
yoga etc. these things keep me feeling fairly healthy and sane.

Aquagenic puritis?
About 2 months ago, I went
swimming
and after showering I had severe burning, stinging, biting sensations all over my body which lasted for about half an hour. Since then I have a similar reaction whenever I shower or take a bath.

zejula back pain?
This last few weeks she has started taking up
swimming
and this week she has started with some lower back pain. She describes it as more of a soreness and possibly the muscle rather than a bone ache. It doesn’t hurt when she is walking but rather when she is sitting down and getting up.

Hydrotherapy and beyond?
I have tried
swimming
in the past but local pools are, cold, crowded and often distinctly grubby. I pathetically struggle to motivate myself even though I know I should! I am also much more likely to benefit when someone guides my exercise. I like a bit of bossing, stops me taking short cuts.

Anyone find swimming pools therapeutic?
We've been going to our local pool a lot lately. I'm finding it really therapeutic to swim a few laps or just move around in the water. Going a handful of times in past summers didn't do much for me, but I'm finding that going more often has taken the edge off my depression and anxiety.

a single day relapse?
Yesterday I went
swimming
. I don't usually swim, but I'm trying to develop a taste for it because progressive osteoarthritis in my feet, ankles, and knees has limited what I can do.

Body temperature
She would love to go
swimming
but the change from being in the water and the air temperature sees her temperature either shoot up until she is sweating buckets full or drops and she is shivering. Any suggestions on how to treat this would be appreciated. Thank you, Chris.

The pain was out of the blue while
swimming
but I managed to finish my
swimming
session and drove back home feeling bad. At home had strong low abdominal pain and fever up 39. Wait about 7 hours and decided to call surgery.

mini stroke and medication prescribed
My cholesterol has always been low, I don’t smoke and rarely drink, prior to being virtually paralysed by pregabalin I walked daily and went
swimming
2-3 times a week. My second question relates to the drugs that I have now been put on ‘for life’.
