Running and hyper mobility
I started
running
four years ago to help me get fitter and help my asthma. I followed C25k and was relatively ok injury wise. The last year I’ve been stop start with my
running
as I’ve been plagued by gluteal tendinitis and now Achilles tendinitis.

c25k x2 got me started
Had to redo c25k during the pandemic as life got in the way but
running
most weeks since Nov 2022. Caught the Parkrun bug in May 2023 and not looked back since. Hope to stay injury free in 2024 and improve my 5k pb and go further than 17k.

An enforced break
Dizziness, throwy-upness and extreme fatigue have put the kibosh on
running
and all but my shoulder exercises, and I'm saving this week's energy for Romeo & Juliet, so let's see if I'm ready for a bit of a jog by the end of the week.

I fixed my hole-y holy shoe, finally!
I’ve been
running
in my other road shoes, but tomorrow I’ll take these newly patched-up beauties for a spin! (beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right?)

bisoprolol and running
Since I started taking bisoprolol for arrhythmia , I can’t run more than 20 or 30 m without stopping for a rest. I’ve run every day for 50 years so it’s a big miss. Is there a different beta blocker that wouldn’t make me so tired?

Blissfully unaware
My therapist is out of the office now for the next few weeks, and I feel all alone and helpless right now and my mind is just
running
on overdrive.

hello, I was
running
around 10 miles in my mid fifties following post surgical PE at 50. Covid in 2022 set off severe flare of Ulcerative Colitis (had since 25) and PE. Spent a year recovering started couch to 5k in January having built up fitness walking and cycling.

Achy Feet
My shoes are still in good condition and I purchased them from a
running
shop, after a gait analysis. Wondering if I should continue with it or I could my making my life harder.

My favourite thought of the week turned up on the Strength
Running
Podcast about ultra
running
and strength training. I can’t remember why I picked that one since I’m a long way from
running
ultras, but I enjoyed it a lot.

The Italian Job, or my 'new' shoes finally get a run
The marina has a walkway that leads to a conference centre and yesterday we spotted lots of people
running
here. Reassuringly, a lot of them looked almost as old and decrepit at me.

Holiday run along the Thames
It was a novelty
running
on the flat and my Garmin absolutely loved it. I’ve had my watch for more than 6 months with no movement of my VO2 max headline number, although I’ve seen the finer detail line trending up. Finally it ticked up to the next number.
