I fixed my hole-y holy shoe, finally!

Finally after 5 months of dawdling, and allowing the hole in my shoe to get bigger, I finally fixed my shoes with a patch!

Somehow I didn’t manage to receive the right colour, but who cares about the looks, right! As long as I can continue running in my Altras, the world is ok!

My original post (uff, yes, 5 months ago) was here healthunlocked.com/bridgeto... and I patched it early this week.

I’ve been running in my other road shoes, but tomorrow I’ll take these newly patched-up beauties for a spin! (beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right?)

And thanks to   TimeInNature who pointed me to these patches at pairups.co.uk

I will report back in another 5 months, probably, to tell you all if these patches are as good as they sound!

Looks very cool to me like that! Wish I'd done that with some of my own much loved running shoes.

(We once caught my Dad doing a literal cut and shut with two pairs and a lot of shoe glue)

Before this happened, I didn’t know there was such a thing as shoe glue. We’ll see how good it works.

My mother put homemade ankle straps and a front strap on a pair of those wooden Scholl sandals 😁

They looked Lancashire clog-like when she’d done 😀

Trendy! And I thought I was being thrifty by breaking out the needle and thread last week!

Non-running related. Youngest child coming to end of high school and I am DETERMINED never to buy school trousers again, so am sewing and sewing to nurse existing pairs through to finish line. My Mam would be proud of me!
