An enforced break

I ran 5k a week ago but since then Covid has curtailed my activity. Dizziness, throwy-upness and extreme fatigue have put the kibosh on running and all but my shoulder exercises, and I'm saving this week's energy for Romeo & Juliet, so let's see if I'm ready for a bit of a jog by the end of the week.

I did another 5k a week earlier and haven't run further than that since early May due to tummy issues, so will see how I go as regards building up distance - and time - again.

Garden looking absolutely cracking though!

Sorry to hear you’re struggling again.. so hard having to work through it. Not surprising you can’t find time or energy for running on top. You’ve come back from similar before though, so I’m sure you will again.

That’s a fabulous rambling rose..! We have a gloriously vigorous pink rambler (Rosa wichurana “Ethel”), not in flower here yet, which my OH hates for its vicious thorns 🤣.

Oh no! So sorry to hear. There's a variant out there that's pretty severe.

Those roses are lovely! Do you know the name?

Is that the West End R&J?

It's a rambler called Bobby James. We have an old pear tree and the rose is at least 10m up all over it!

Yes, it's West End R&J.

Oh yuksters! Poor you... it sounds very draining and nit what you need, Recover well, be kind to yourself and, as do so, so many of us are finding out regularly... the runs do wait:)

It doesn't feel fair when illness stops play, hopefully full recovery and resuming running will go smoothly for you
