Tales from a Slow-Jog Comeback #1
But I could tell my running
fitness
had gone, even though I rowed every day. Knees felt great, but back pain was there again afterwards, which surprised me. I thought rowing would have strengthened my back.

Cop-out 5k
I don't dare look at
Fitness
age tho...tomorrow I'm hoping run 3 will be through the snowdrop woods, along a cliff and over the heath. No reading and a very different experience!

Week 1 - Thigh Pain!
I wanted to get a baseline on my
fitness
before starting the couch to 5k hence I went into a straight nonstop run, maybe in hindsight, it was not a sensible decision. I will give it a day rest and officially start the Couch to 5k program tomorrow. Is the pain normal?

Has anybody actually returned to
fitness
? How did they rebuild their muscle mass and stamina? Have they documented their journey? Is there anyone on the 15000 membership list who can share their success back to
fitness
story please?

Exercise Benefit During Radiation?
Exercise resulted in consistent significant benefits for physical function in terms of cardiovascular
fitness
(standardized mean difference [SMD], 0.83; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.31-1.36; P < .01) and muscle function (SMD, 1.30; 95% CI, 0.53-2.07; P < .01).

Hope you all had a great Christmas 🎄 I finding this week ok but there’s no easy way round the hill to get back home 😳 it’s killing me I know it’s about 8 mins including my 5 min cool down but I’m never so glad to sit down 🙈 hopefully this gets better as my
fitness
improves 😂 or I will be very happy

YWA April Calendar: REFRESH
Last week the above plan resulted in 537 minutes of workouts, and I think that’s pretty good for where I am in my
fitness
journey. So REFRESH sounds like it will provide me with a great additional choice of workouts, and I see that there are two new sessions planned.

YWA Feb Calendar: BLOSSOM
I’m still wanting to see a
fitness
journey drop that is structured around “Making Time”, as my willingness for work-outs tends to grow (even ‘blossom’) with every month I am on the mat, running or rowing. But the time available doesn’t expand.

Another 3K on route to a gentle recovery
This has really taken it out of me and I am very concious that my aerobic
fitness
(and no doubt resistance to injury) has suffered.
