Morning!! Well it’s been about a month now that since I had Covid, I feel a lot better, been doing a bit of fitness to try and get back to where I was, decided that I will go back to my Couch to 5 k after Christmas, hoping by then I will be raring to go! I will carry on doing my fitness routines at home so no worries about getting overweight and unfit, I will be ready to run!! Anyway I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas!!

Getting fully recovered is a good idea, but that break will be long enough to have a significant impact on your conditioning, so take care restarting.

As stated in the guide to the plan, you lose no significant condition in the first two weeks of non running. After that loss of condition is gradual.

All any of us can do after a lay off is to go out for a gentle run and see what we can comfortably manage, then use C25k or something similar to rebuild stamina and resistance to injury.

Always safer to err on the side of caution.

I was out for 5 weeks starting in mid-October with covid then the super flu back to back. Started back at the back end of next week November and have recovered fitness far faster than expected. My biggest challenge now is fatigue - getting up early to run before work is nigh on impossible so I am only running once or twice a week, but I'm hoping this will improve when I'm off over Christmas and by the time I go back I will have more get up and go!

Do whatever works best for you and just take care of yourself 😁
