Tales from a Slow-Jog Comeback #5: I’m back out there jeffingly joggling!
During that time, we rearranged our bedroom, I sorted my
fitness
gear into now 3 drawers (uhm! Yup, up from 2 when last I ran regularly, but now including more rowing gear).

The 5 year itch - latest blog in my Heart attack to 10K series.
It is now 5 years since my cardiac rehab heart assessment and in that time I tried to follow a health and
fitness
plan to hit targets set by the rehab team. It started well but over the past couple of years I have lost my way a little, but I don't want to use Covid as an excuse.

Welcome introduction and how to build excerise into your day ?
I have fibromyalgia and very obese, I really need to improve my health and
fitness
and lose weight in the process. I have also struggled with sciatica which has caused nerve damage and calf tightness in my left leg making it difficult with stairs and hills. I work 8 till 5/6ish .

Can anyone share experience with detraining?
My
fitness
- cycling up hills etc. - doesn't seem impaired during an episode but exertion does seem to worsen the symptoms afterwards, so I've been taking it easy and breathing carefully when cycling. Does anyone with a similar AF background have experience of detraining?

Running trainers? Any suggestions?
I find that my feet are badly affected by my lupus, followed by my knees and hips, but I am making a very slow start and mostly enjoying my attempt to return to some semblance of
fitness
. I have bought a pair of Nike Miler React and find them very good.

Uphill or downhill?
Mr Garmin has rewarded me on my return, by telling me my
fitness
age is 21! I know it's not very scientific, but it amuses me and my kids don't need to know the truth🤣🤣🤣 Happy running everyone. Don't get blown away!

Weekly Chat April 25th - May 1st 🆕😊I reset myself!
My
fitness
has taken a dive in the past few months! I've had a sore Achilles, some nasty virus-with-a-cough that hung around for ages (many negative Covid tests later, who knows?!)

New year new resolve
My goal is to maintain
fitness
( hopefully regain some health) and feel good again. Very frosty in Cellardyke this morning but completed day one. Love the new presenters. Justine

'Maximum' Heart Rate
At the time I didn't question it as the heart attack was only a couple of months earlier and I was still building my
fitness
back up. But since then it's started to feel quite restrictive. I'm finding it too easy to hit 140 bpm without feeling that I'm working particularly hard.

A Slow and Chilly -1 3k run 🥶
It actually felt tougher today and I can certainly tell my
fitness
has suffered since November, but this is not a race ! Again not interested in pace or even distance for that matter . This is purely about regaining
fitness
in however long it takes .

NRC Tripple 7's
Nothing too taxing but the simple fact of getting back to intervals certainly helps rebuild your
fitness
So this was a 3 X repeat of 7 minute intervals at 5k pace with 2.5 minute recoveries. I used some of my normal route and went to say hello to my horse friend at the start of the run .

💫 So what has your running, or
fitness
journey taught you along the way? How are those new year goals coming along? Or just your weekly running, what is going right, or wrong just now?

Sore glutes
Hoping to get faster as my
fitness
gets better. This is the same for my swims too, I feel running is helping my swimming and swimming is helping my running. Been doing some weights too to help.with strength. I feel I'm very good at stretching, hold each stretch for 20 seconds.

Just a short run in the sunshine ☀️
I set off at what I thought was a comfortable pace - I had about 9 mins/ km in mind, but at the first km buzz I realised I was running far too quickly for my current level of
fitness
and that first km sets the pace for the whole run.

Patience is a virtue
If these mutations confer a
fitness
advantage, these mutated HSCs will have an increased output compared with nonmutant cells, leading to CH. With each decade of age older than 40, the prevalence of CH increases so that, by age 70, 10% to 20% of individuals will have detectable CH.

Sunday 11.12 km run
I've kept up with regular yoga sessions to help maintain
fitness
. I managed to do my third 10k a couple of weeks ago and I was really tired afterwards. Last week I finally managed 3 runs.

I have been having episodes of dizziness and my
fitness
watch has recorded bpms of 47 to 55 during the night. Anyway went to the doctors and blood tests are all normal and my blood pressure was normal. Listened to my heart and chest, all good.
