Run 2 of the magic plan done yesterday. It was meant to be done outside but as the skies opened I made for the gym instead. My, what a godsend that place has been for me during January and now February. I did my 5k almost too easily on the treadmill.... I say 'too easily ' because I could read my kindle and have music blocking out my surroundings for the duration!! It's true you have to get used to the words bobbing up and down a bit but so much easier to rest the kindle on the treadmill screen than lying down behind the hand holds. I am doing these indoor runs slower than I would outside... Partly because I get hotter more quickly and inside my elbows start itching.. And partly because I want to increase my stamina this time round..so I'm running at a pace that I can easily have a conversation and don't get puffed at all. I don't dare look at Fitness age tho...tomorrow I'm hoping run 3 will be through the snowdrop woods, along a cliff and over the heath. No reading and a very different experience!

I got thwarted yesterday too, so had to get Run 2 in very quickly ( I use the term loosely)! Well done you for getting the run in and not getting too hot under the collar:)

Hope you get your run outside tomorrow.. Your route sounds wonderful!

I am hoping to get Run 2 in if the rain holds off!

It is a beautiful route, we walked it this morning to check it wasn't too muddy after yesterday but it seems OK enough. I usually end up having an ultra quick dip after this run but as I haven't been in the sea for over a month now, I doubt I'll do it. And.....as I'm running slower I don't get as hot. All aspirational as I sit by the fire! Go well on your run tomorrow too.

Thanks... having messed up the first 2 runs..mis-read the plan...( and I have repeated it so many times ) ! The first 2 runs will go on time.. but I need to get back on distance tomorrow.. I am looking forward to my first swim on March 6th when we get back to Wales!

A run is a run, well done on your treadmill run. Hope it clears up and you get your run outside. Nothing like the fresh air on your lungs. Weather to be same here think it will be a damp early morning walk. At least getting lighter in mornings. Do you prefer trail rather than the roads?

Yes, definitely prefer the paths and ways through forest and heath... I like not seeing an endless road ahead! Tho I do enjoy town runs when away as its all new...

That's not a cop out! Reading while running - amazing!

Not a cop out at all.You turned things to your advantage and got a run in despite the weather.

That's a plus in my eyes😀

It did kind of feel too easy tho! I think I was bought up with the ' no pain no gain' ethic and it's quite hard to ditch..

It's a run completed so well done !I wish I had access to a treadmill in bad weather .
