I can’t do the amount or intensity of the exercise I used to so this along with
swimming
, and regular acupuncture is giving me some hope and relief.

Wild/cold water swimming to manage inflammation?
Several weeks ago there was a thread which mentioned wild/cold water
swimming
as a way of managing/helping inflammation. Anyone who was interested might also be interested in this week's The Life Scientific with Mike Tipton, Prof of Extreme Physiology.

Running on fat rather than carbs…. and goats!
Otherwise on the run: Zombies 🧟♀️ were out
swimming
and runner 5 rowing! 🚣♀️ I know! Right!? Who knew Zombies did not have to breathe!

Ankle arthritis pain before Total knee replacement
I loved
swimming
but haven’t been able to go as too painful although a health care professional said try Spin !! Also, some other arthritis sufferers say it’s possibly a “flare” but what I guess I am saying is has anyone on here had similar or can you offer some hope.

Inching forwards....
Drove 2 miles to the sea, so I could leave
swimming
stuff and flop in at the end. Last long run was 12.09 last week so I'm getting to the magic round numbers slowly. Beautiful run over heath, through woods to the sea...

All better now buzzing around the forest and swimming in the ponds ❤
Himself had an accident of sorts 2 weeks ago . Dont ask me what I have no clue but he loosened a claw on his left front paw ... we had to take him to the vets so they pulled it out completely as he was limping pretty bad ...after antibiotics and dressing being taken off hes very much on the mend and

Thoughts on swimming?
Swimming
is the only sport I like and have ever been any good at. Prior to this ( and Covid) I would swim once or twice a week ( 1km each time). I have read with dismay all the warnings on
swimming
risks due to water pressure, cold water etc.

What can I do? I'm in the UK
I have put on weight and cannot use a gym just
swimming
and one has to book a time slot.

Stating from scratch after 3 months on the IC!
That means though I have been off for 3 whole months - with over a month of that with 0 walking also due to the injury :( (On the up side I did do some
swimming
!) Finally 2 weeks ago I had my first run again!

45 min treadmill
It only became worse over time, but I wanted to finish my Conqueror English Channel challenge (yeah I run the channel instead of
swimming
it, spectacular, no?). So I held on till 45 minutes when I reached 4,17 km which was just what I needed to finish the challenge.

How to know whether your child should be medicated?
That said, now that it’s summer and the world is slowly re-opening, we’re getting back to our more typical schedule of daily
swimming
, tball, summer camp, more play dates, more hiking and camping… The busier we stay and the more time we spend out of the house, the more manageable all our symptoms seem

Chlorine?
Hello - I'm new here and just wanted to ask people a question I have recently joined a gym and deciding to
swimming
for cardio exercise - but I think it may be making my skin worse and causing flare ups - I also have had a bad stomach and I'm wondering if this is all connected.

Cold water swimming
I started sea
swimming
early morning in September last year and continued going after being diagnosed with PMR. On the days I don't go I find my aching and stiffness recur - has anyone else found cold water
swimming
helpful?
