Hi Everyone, my first day here, first post. My question is does anyone experience a chill in the bones after swimming or exercise in water and is it advisable to carry on

Exercise in water
I think it’s probably a personal thing. For me, swimming is my absolute best form of pain relief. It’s also great for my mental health.
Perhaps the pool you’re using is a bit chilly? Is there another one nearby you could try out instead? Or do they have a warmer kids pool you could go in?
I also find it wise to plan what you’re going to wear swimming so that you can get changed quickly afterwards and not get too cold Xx
Bone chill I get after showering or having a bath, I can't swim at the moment but look forward to when I can do a few lengths.I whinged about this to the Doc and he said on eof the difficulties we have is thermoregulation (try typing that in the morning) or keeping our temperature stable. his answer was a nice big warm towel and to get dressed as quickly as possible, hard because I shiver that badly you would thing I was having a fit. He also recommended a nice warm drink asap afterwards too, hard in a swimming pool but some do have cafes that might be open now and are sympathetic if you have a problem.
I had a life guard waiting with my third leg when I went to get out of the pool, I did not ask for this they just picked it up at the steps and handed it to me, nice people.
I agree with loneEra some pools are absolutely freezing, that has certaintly. put me off swimming in the past , so worth trying out a couple of different places, I found a warm bath when I used to go swimming when I got home differently was a blessing after.
I cold water swim and find getting cold to my bones actually very helpful so I would suggest if you enjoy your excercise in water, go for it. Check this out ….. outsideonline.com/2414344/c...
