Haven't run for a few days due to a painful piriformis / sciatic nerve. But felt I could run this morning. I was afraid though it might already be too hot outside at 10 am, so the treadmill it was.
As it was morning, there was no sun yet on the window and I could open the window fully to get some air. I also put a fan before me and started.
I wanted to run 60 minutes, but at 30 minutes my groin started aching. It only became worse over time, but I wanted to finish my Conqueror English Channel challenge (yeah I run the channel instead of swimming it, spectacular, no?). So I held on till 45 minutes when I reached 4,17 km which was just what I needed to finish the challenge.
Yeah, my weather app said it was 'only' 18 degrees. But when I felt the temperature through the window, it felt much warmer. And I felt bad last time I went out in the heat. So treadmill it is. I run much slower on the treadmill than outdoors kthough it feels faster). But as you say: a run is a run. Curious as to how it will feel on the treadmill after work when the sun is on the window and I can't open the window...
I guess I am getting old? 😁 Naw it is my posture I fear, both when sitting and when running. But I don't know what I do wrong + I fear I am too lazy to follow advices...
The ache is better now, once I stopped running it faded away. I guess I didn't warm up sufficiently or so. Hope it won't pop up again, it does happen once in a while. So I will have to be careful and warm up properly.
