My goals
I set myself a goal of going
swimming
three times a week for 60 minutes and have so far completed two days, 60 minutes each time. Go me! I am determined to lose this weight for my operation. #operationgoals. #loseweightjourney.

Overdone the swimming
So, Thursday night I get a message, “Are you OK with going
swimming
tomorrow?”. Now I don’t mind going to the pool, we take the little ones quite often, however, for my part, there is not a lot of
swimming
involved.

Weight gain
Pre covid, we were
swimming
most mornings but I am concerned about infection risks in public pools. For those of you using Acalabrutinib, have you noticed weight gain, as the drug starts working.?

Drooping in left side of face
She was working out,
swimming
, very fit for her age and no medication. She was told she had carpal tunnel, then traveled up to her elbow. She felt as though her hand was weak and would drop things. She lost her thumb muscle and could barely move it. Cooking became very difficult.

JULY QUEST 2024: Week 2, how's it for you?
Are you finding your way through the canyons of life and
swimming
in the clear waters of progress? With all this the question is – how is your running going? Are you caught up in the feel good factor or do you just want some sunshine?

Just starting the journey…..
I am a very active 60 yr old, previously doing triathlons, still cycling,
swimming
, walking etc. The first symptom I experienced was excruciating pain in my hip flexor muscles, which soon spread to my pelvic girdle, neck, arms etc.

Can't sleep. What else is new?
For real though, I'm
swimming
in stress and my body's feeling it now which is disturbing because I know what's next, fibromyalgia inflammation and headaches. Anyone have any good suggestions to help me sleep? I suppose I should get off my phone idk. Thanks for reading.

I live in Florida and I’m fortunate to be able to be outside all the time and find that
swimming
helps a lot. I am still working but slowing down, I am a flight attendant so it’s a bit demanding!

Inflammation still not contained
I curtailed
swimming
last few weeks to try and limit inflammation. And was more consciously pacing and resting. Aside from rheumatologist's diagnosis on 5 Dec, I have not gotten the advice I need from her to actually get on top of the disease process.

🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️May Quest Week 1: Finish lines are just your next starting line!🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
My other goals are to stay consistent at 3 or 4 runs a week, keep up with strength and flex and cross training (
swimming
and Zumba!). The same as every month really! So where is this new start line going to finish for you this month? Come and share your goals and we’ll cheer you on!

Methotrexate-induced lung disease
I've even started
swimming
lessons! God bless the NHS. When it works, it's marvellous. Unfortunately, when it doesn't work... well that's another matter, but I won't go there just now.

What nudged me this morning? My heart ….. 🫀💝💞💗 💓 ❤️
As these are more body-vertical activities, rather than
swimming
and rowing being more horizontal, they differ as the heart is differently burdened of moving blood around the body depending on its horizontal or vertical positioning.

Monday long run
As I came near the
swimming
pool and gym I was very tempted to go sit in the steam room, but in underwear and teeshirt would have been horrible going home in wet clothes, so I continued running, past the ice rink where a lot of my family go although I'm not brave enough and turn left back onto the seafront
