Teeth and gums problems since quitting....
Since I
quit
smoking
, they have deteriorated dramatically and my confidence is just shot, I only smile with my mouth closed and only open my mouth slightly when talking as so conscious and paranoid about it. I have money saved up at the moment and really want to get my teeth sorted.

Worried
It's been 7 days that I
quit
smoking
. Im having alot of problems breathing and gasping for air especially after I start coughing. I would be able to walk up stairs no problem.

Massive fear overcome today as I hit 2 years quit!
worse when we
quit
as
smoking
, also if you grind your teeth, it too gets worse when we quit, which was all news to me today :) I left it until now at 2 years quit and so kicking myself that I didn't do it sooner but it thanks to a very special lady on here that gave me the push to go for it - thanks

First holiday temptation avoided
on the last day of the holiday by a guy who only minutes earlier I had told I had
quit
smoking
! ...Lead us not into temptation and all that jazz. Needless to say I told him about my 50 days milestone and politely declined (when other 'non-smokers' took up his offer).

Couch to 9k
Hi all, 59 years old and recently
quit
smoking
after a lifetime, the weights started coming on so need to do something about it. With this in mind I've entered a 5k run (sponsored) and have today done my first training session.

When is tachycardia considered normal?
I haven't been offered any treatment and basicallly been told to take 75mg of aspirin,
quit
smoking
(which I have) and to watch my cholesterol. That's it ! Is that the best I can hope for? I have absolutely no quality of life. Any advice would be greatly appreciated 😄

Beware of misdiagnosis! My story...
I had always been an extremely strong and fit dancer, despite
smoking
off and on, but had
quit
that habit some time before. When the consultant at Hereford Hospital heard I'd been a smoker he quickly declared "copd" after spending what seemed like 30 seconds with me. Voila. I had copd! Or did I?

Keeping your heart healthy
Some of you might be looking to
quit
smoking
, and others may want to reduce their weight and start exercising and following a healthy diet. All these things are important if you're looking to keep your heart healthy and keep heart disease at bay.
