Gastritis and hrt
Hello, I’m looking for advice on menopausal gastritis and ibs. On Omeprazole since last November. A rigid diet and no alcohol for six months now. Still have bad days but rebound stomach burning when I try to come off. Tried hrt but found the progesterone triggers more digestive symptoms so didn’t try

HHM Training - Week 3 Day 1
Started the week off with a 15 minute recovery run as per usual on this programme. It was good to have a rest day yesterday to give my aching knees a rest. However, when I walked down the stairs this morning I felt like the old man that I nearly am. My knees were very sore. I got the massage gun and

Naproxen - worries about long term use.
Hi all. I hope everyone is well. I have been suffering from pain all over for years and a year and half was told by my GP it's looking like Fibromyalgia. I started on Amytriptyline at night 10mg and it did help me get a better sleep, however during the day the pain was still very present. I started on

Amitriptyline with co-drydamol
I’m in a lot of pain at the moment and have just cried my eyes out as I’m feeling so useless. I now also have osteoarthritis in my right hip and knee diagnosed last week, but they also found a meniscus ligament tear in my inner knee. I have been told to double or treble my 10mg dose of Amitriptyline

Osteoarthritis advice.
I have been taking on prescription a number of Painkillers including Naproxen. For Sciatica and Osteoarthritis. They have helped so much. However, I had a medication review on Monday and told they will not going to supply the anti inflammatory any more. Since stopping them, which I was always told they

Best PPI to take with Hypothyroidism
Can anyone suggest a PPI that doesn’t make you feel more ill than you are. Have been prescribed a few different ones but the side effects are not tolerable. The most recent ones Esomeprazole just wiped me out. Joint pain and muscle weakness along with chills, headache and constipation to name but a few

Off Ropinerole but what next?
After augmenting on Ropinerole, it has taken me six months to come off it. My blood test showed a Ferritin level of 8 and thankfully I received an iron infusion. Having this, plus more recently with the help of Naproxen, I am totally off Ropinerole and only occasionally have bouts of a much milder

Breathlessness getting worse again
The last couple of days I’ve been a bit late in going out to collect my daughter from school so I’ve had to rush a bit going up a very steep hill . Today I could feel myself getting out of breath so I took the longer way as it’s flat . I got to the school but so out of breath I couldn’t speak properly

Prednisolone and Omeprazole?
Just realised - should I be taking the stomach pills before the steroids? I'll only be taking the prednisolone for about a week and I have been taking with breakfast, but seem to remember something about the omeprazole.

Input would be greatly appreciated.
I'd be grateful of any advice to help me be prepared with the correct information before I contact my GP surgery. I've already received invaluable information from Forum members and the Pernicious Anaemia Society have been a lifesaver. Please excuse my long story and any over sharing of information
