Hi Folks, Just wanted to pick all your super human brains again if that's ok, you lovely people! Have had a lot of problems lately, but most debilitating over last few weeks has been nausea - so bad it stops me eating and sometimes I vomit about an hour after eating. Two weeks ago was bringing up some

Anxiety thru the roof thinking MND
For a good 9 months now I've had a tingling sensation in my right shoulder blade first thing in a morning, it tends to go after a few minutes & then have occasional pain / tingling through the day, but then can go days without feeling it. It's started to get bit more noticeable in past few months. Then

Doxycycline - any way we can take it?
Hi, I've had an embedded/Chronic UTI since May, I think, which just keeps coming back, and back, and back again. Today, while putting meds away I spotted a pack of Doxycycline I'd been given for a sinus infection but had never used because it is contraindicated if you have oesophagitis. Tonight, desperate

Long term tocilizumab use
Hello all - I wonder if anyone has experience of long term tocilizumab use. I have been having injections every 4 weeks. I began weekly and gradually moved to 4 weekly. I have been on TZ for 3 1/2 years now. I am now getting fairly regular relapses - especially after overdoing it. Have felt really

Got an appointment!
Hi, following on from my last post I have an appointment for 12 august so I’m happy with that. The woman I spoke to was very understanding and said if I have any problems to give them a call back. I’ll stick with the naproxen for now and see how that goes. Thanks for all your replies/advice, it really

Too many ‘cooks in the kitchen’? Could my diagnosis be false?
Diagnosed with PMR in late 2010 - almost four years following my husband’s death. I have never been a good decision maker, so guess stress related to this may have led to PMR. After 3 and 1/2 years on prednisone, all was clear (so I thought). I had no idea that I was only in remission. Along comes

Medicinal experiences
Hi all Following all the recent conversations about various meds people are being prescribed I thought I would add my experiences to the mix. Might be helpful. I was diagnosed with osteopenia several years ago and put on bisphosphonates. These eventually caused a hiatus hernia so I stopped taking them

SURGERY?
I am facing a full spinal fusion mainly due to double Scoliosis with Cobb angles of 38.4 degrees. I had a C2 through T4 fusion in Dec. 2014. Due to the Scoliosis, I am having significantly more general pain, especially in my neck and Sciatica in my right leg hip joint ("electric shocks"). Then radiated

Esomeprazole on occasionally basis
HI all, I have been with this problem of heartburn for a few years, and recently looks like I am having the symptoms more regularly, and more strongly. I started taking esomeprazole (Nexium), which I bought from a pharmacy, without consulting a GP. I read that I should take for 7 or 14 days and stop,

Clopidogrel instead of 75mg Aspirin
Feedback would be most welcome regarding taking Clopidogrel instead of 75mg Aspirin? Hoping taking Clopidogrel for life kinder to the stomach. I need to make a decision on this soon following a stomach ulcer bleed caused by Aspirin. Currently on Aspirin and Omeprazole for life which is the alternative

Advice on best pain relief
Hi everyone. I have RA and OA. I’m on waiting list for new hip. I’ve had Zapain and Naproxen to take for the pain. Neither work and have stopped naproxen as making my tummy sore even with omeprazole. My pain is really bad. It effects my sleep and every day life. I’m in tears with it. Can’t get an appointment

Ramipril and Furosemide and RLS
I was just wondering if anyone else is prescribed these medications? I was retaining a lot of water last year and my blood pressure was through the roof at times and now I take Furosemide 40mg for the water retention and Ramipril 2.5 caps for my blood pressure. I don’t know how long I’ll be on this

Should I still be taking Omeprazole when the only pain killer I now take is paracetamol?
Good afternoon, Not posted before but have been thinking about reviewing my medication and am still on omeprazole as was taking NSAIDs for chronic back and neck pain. I have been unable to take NSAIDs since being diagnosed with AF in 2017 so wonder if I need to take them I take maybe 4 a day now as
