Help, Newly diagnosed with hiatus hernia
I have suffering from acid reflux for 15 years and I had many different anti acid tablets. Sometimes when it’s gets better, I don’t take them everyday. These past 3 months my acid reflux was really flaring up I’ve had an endoscopy beginning of July21 and been diagnosed with a 2cm sliding hiatal hernia

Rheumatologist consultation since my original post
Today I have, finally, received a copy of a letter from my Rheumatologist, sent to my GP, following my consultation on the 1st July. Under “Diagnosis” she has written; ?Polymyaglia Rheumatica, ?Ploymyalgic Arthritis. So, apparently, the jury is still out! Under “Medication” she has put; 1. Prednisolone

Swollen ankles
I’m tapering pred at a rate of 1 mg every three weeks since May. I’m now on 5 mgs and have been for two weeks. Is it usual to gave swollen ankles to the point of being stiff to move. I also take 10mgs of Omeprazole.

I finally saw the neurologist! Well, more accurately I saw his registrar!
The conclusion is that I don’t have any neuro problems. All the tests she did for balance, reflexes & memory were all normal! She had no answers as to why I had numb areas & painful areas on my hands & feet & just said that our bodies sometimes react like that! She had to prompt me & give me clues during

Anyone get C and then D in the same visit to the loo in the middle of the night?
Hi. I'm on Citalopram long term for depression, HRT for the last 2 years, menopausal for over 10 years, on Quetiapine minimum dose for the last year for anxiety but recently gone up, Omeprazole for the IBS, Vitamin D which really helps my mood and vitamin C as I like the orange fizz in the morning.

Naproxen
Hi all, am currently in the throes of a flare up while waiting for my ritixamub infusion on the 1st of July. Have been in so much pain, I started taking naproxen, something I have not taken for many years, if my memory serves me correctly I think I had to come off them because of stomach issues. Then

Rivaroxaban and Omeprazole
I have been advised by text from my surgery that as I am taking Rivaroxaban I should start taking Omeprazole 20mg daily to help reduce the risk of a gastric bleed. Looking at the side effects of Omeprazole I am seriously wondering if I shall start taking it! It seems as if I am chasing my tail, one

Naproxen for Migraine
Hi I’m new on here. Have had focal migraines for 27 years since I was 13. I usually take sumitripan during the aura stage which helps however it sends me to sleep, so GP has changed me to naproxen. Has anyone tried this? How do you find it? Also I have been told to take it during my period as a preventer

Brick wall is bigger than ever
I feel completely deflated. Seeing my rheumatologist gave me so much hope that I was going to find out what’s going on and start looking forward to some answers and possible some treatment to stop me feeling so awful. And now I have had it all blow up in my face. My rheumatologist was almost certain

How to get partner to understand?
My current pain issues have been increasing for the last 3 years or so. My partner has been accusing me of abusing prescription painkillers (I don't) and also that I was wasting my time going to remedial massage when what I needed was a steroid injection. I finally got this last week. I think it has

Chest and breast pains
Can anyone reassure me about costochondritis? I can’t find symptoms online like mine other than those related to the sternum. I was diagnosed with this a few days ago, however all the dr did was some physical movement tests and asked questions. I’d been having breast tenderness on and off and in lots

GP says it’s low B12 Level but not PA
My B12 serum level was 248 which my GP says is at the low end of normal. She ordered one B12 injection a month for 3 months (3 injections total). I have pins and needles pain in my ribs and pelvis and also loose stool but am not fatigued or nausea. I was on Omeprazole for 23 days last month. I asked

Spinal compression
I have recently sadly sustained another spinal compression which is really painful this time. Not helped by the fact it has taken my doctors so long to sort out medication for me. I had my first in August last year and I’ve still not started on any programme after failing to get along with alendronic
