Worried I have PBC.
I want to apologize in advance if my writing is disjointed, I’m writing this under some stress. If you don’t feel like reading the wall of text, please skip to the last paragraph for the point of the post. I’m a 34 year old woman and I’m worried I may have PBC. Pain remedy pack - does yours look like this?
Hi my lovely pen pals! You know what? Our section here for Q&A often reads like purgatory. Lots of us land in when we're at our lowest. But, things can get better. So, I wanted to share what's in my "pain remedy pack" because.... Drum roll, I went for a walk at normal speed and didn't have to slow or

Bleeding on the mirena coil
Looking for some advice before I ring the GP tomorrow. I was diagnosed with endometriosis in may 2017 after suffering pain and other symptoms for many years. In 2019 I had a pain flare which lasted 6 months before I was started on amitriptyline and was given the Mirena coil to help my pain. I've had

What treatments have you had for endometriosis?
I was diagnosed with endometriosis last year after a laparoscopy and ablation. I was advised after to take the mini pill as I get migraines and can't take the combined. My symptoms kept getting worse and it was decided by me and my GP to try the Mirena coil. I had it fitted 3 weeks ago and know I need

Speech problems, really scared!
Hi. Last year during lockdown I started with various symptoms.. in August I finally got an appointment with my doctor and mentioned the 2 that were bothering me most, which was pins and needles and numbness in hands and feet and random stabbing pains all over. I had bloods taken and my B12 was at 140

Is it really asthma? Can’t stop coughing
Hello everyone Been coughing since December, GP says it’s asthma. I’m on ventolin and clenil inhalers, omeprazole (in case it’s acid reflux) and the latest montelukast 10mg. I’m taking my hay fever medication fenofexadine 180mg and mometasone nasal spray. I also take Vit D 3000iu when I remember. The

Action Plan Update-Get a Dexa Scan- Easier said than done.
That was plan last November but my GP refused to refer me, main reason given- on steroids you must have bone protection medication ........ Felt strongly I needed to know the state of my bones, all part of understanding and managing my PMR, (diagnosed September 2020). Tried the local private route-

fed up with pain!
Hi all, First time posting on here, I’m 27 and have been given an assumptive diagnosis of endo based on all of my symptoms by my gynae consultant. I’m on the wait list for a diagnostic lap but that could be 9-12 months. I’m due to start on Zoladex in a couple of weeks as the pill is providing no relief

Amitriptyline - Does it help?
Hi, I asked my GP what I could do for pain management for endometriosis (I have stage IV, now awaiting MRI scan before next steps). He gave me a prescription for amitriptyline (10mg/day). I read online that it is handy to take it about 3hrs before bedtime because it can make you drowsy, so this way

2 Years in & my 3rd Consultant Appointment Face to Face - I need to ask some ???s
Hey folks, hope you're all doing as well as can be in the current climate. I have introduced myself before, but I'll outline briefly where I stand as I have been told I need to see my consultant face to face for the first time in a year after a phone call from the RA nurse who seemed concerned about

Feeling good with Bronchiectasis
Hi I first went to my GP with acid reflux 5years ago and from there I was diagnosed via CT scans etc to have Bronchiectasis. I was taking omeprazole but refused to take it regular . I worked out what foods were causing reflux and elicited them from my diet. So no longer required them. I have suffered

Could my symptoms be endometriosis?
Hello! I hope you are all coping ok. I felt compelled to join this forum because I am getting to the end of my tether with my symptoms and lack of support from GP’s. I would really appreciate some guidance on whether you think my symptoms could be endometriosis and if anyone has had any similar experiences

Carvedilol
I have cirrhosis and the ongoing stuff with it. I was on Omeprazole and Spironolactone. Told I was on it for life. No problem. But after a recent gastroscopy I was put on Carvedilol. I had dreadful side effects. Plummeting blood pressure and no appetite. I have barely eaten for over a week. I have spoken

Back Issues
This may seem like a topic unrelated to AF. It is my experience that nerve issues in the back could be a factor. Unfortunately, heart doctors do not explore this possibility even though the cause of AF has still not been determined. The comment on NSAID's is probably worth considering. They may inhibit

Struggling to freely burp
First time posting. Over the last year, I’ve struggled to belch/burp. What was once so easy is now difficult and highly uncomfortable. It feels like it’s stuck in my chest and I literally have to jump up and down, go for a brisk walk just to help it on it’s way. Lying down is a nightmare as the pressure
