I just don’t know what to do anymore
Hey everyone, I just need to rant to people that get it… I’ve been pretty much bed ridden since I had surgery in March, this was to remove part of my uterus(I had an extra bit that hadn’t developed correctly), a fallopian tube & endometriosis on my right side as well as a womb ablation but I feel

Time and again I see recommendations that one should speak to an MPN specialist or someone else on one's care team - and I have a quiet chuckle and just carry on with my life. I am Coeliac around 2010 I was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation and Essential Thrombocythemia; since then I have progressed

Need of help
Need help with heartburn My Omeprazole was working great before I had a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) (mini stokes in the brain). Since March 2023 I’ve extremely bad heartburn. I’ve been on Omeprazole for a few years and it was perfect until my tia. I have tried Esomeprazole, that didn’t work,

naproxen allergy .
I’ve been taking naproxen for nearly a decade for fibromyalgia but recently I had an allergic reaction to something as my face swelled up and was hot and itchy, thankfully my lips mouth and airways were not effected. My Dr thinks I might have developed an allergic reaction to Naproxen. I was wondering

calcium citrate with no artificial sugars
A minor question I hope you don’t mind. I’ve just read ‘Ultra Processed People’ book about additives in our diet. Eye opening and shocking to say the least! My calcium prescribed tablets have multiple artificial sugars which I want to avoid. Can anyone recommend a make that doesn’t have them? Preferably

Newbie to the group.
Hi all, I’m new to the group although 6 months in on a PMR diagnosis. My symptoms started in April 2020 2 months after as knee injury, both my shoulders at first, I couldn’t even get a cup off the side, couldn’t lay on my side or touch my shoulders. I thought that it was over use. My GP prescribed

Trying to taper very slowly again , advice on changing pred time from night to morning.
Hi friends I’m doing Dorset Ladies Taper plan again , this has previously gotten me down to 3mg 3 years ago , recently had to increase dose to get through a rough patch . Currently on 8mg , awful perspiration so from experience don’t feel I’m taking enough Pred , but will stick at this dose.. GP

LPR - anyone managed to tame or cure this condition?
After a year of LPR, I'm still struggling and symptoms are almost as bad as they have ever been, despite heavy medication and lifestyle changes. Recent bronchoscopy has confirmed that it is LPR. I am maxed out on esomeprazole and from 3 weeks ago swapped from peptac to Gaviscon Advance. Also, have domperidone

Hiatus Hernia and Gastritis
I was recently diagnosed with gastritis once again, lost count how many times I have had it in the last 6 years. Doctors have changed my omeprazole to lansoprazole to see if that helps, given me anti-sickness medication and a liquid to try each time after I've eaten to try and stop the pain. She is also

Pain Medication after Laparoscopy
Hi all, Can anyone offer advice on which medication they used after surgery for pain management? Due to my other medical issues I can’t take any NSIADS including: ibuprofen, naproxen, diclofenac, celecoxib, mefenamic acid, etoricoxib & indomethacin. I normally take just cocodamol and rest when

Hi everyone I'm new here. I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia in January, I've been struggling for 3 years . I've had lots of tests, xrays, mri scans...nothing comes up!!. I'm on fluxotine, pregabalin, codeine and Naproxen. This is my second time applying for PIP and yet again I've been refused

Muscle Relaxers?
So I think we established that NSAIDs we’re no-gos, with Naproxen the least objectionable and codeine as a possibility for strong pain relief, and paracetamol/acetaminophen for regular pain relief. How about muscle relaxants? Are there any that are safe with Afib? Thanks so much!

Symptom Help
Morning everyone, I don’t want to sound rude, but before everyone jumps on and asks what my tests results have been lately I am waiting for a copy of them as they do not show on my hospital app. i am just posting to see if anyone has ever experienced anything similar as I am becoming extremely annoyed

More drugs!
Some of you will know we moved from Cornwall to the Bristol area which obviously meant registering with a new doctors surgery. I’ve been about three times and you can never see the same doctor even though they say make an appointment to see me after your blood test. Anyway the last time I went was partly

running out of options
hearts been tight since Feb 23rd. Been to A&E three times. Nothing but codeine and naproxen. gp didn’t take my blood pressure or listen to my heart. Just shrugged me off Work GP (doctor care anywhere) recommended diazepam. he concluded it could be coronary muscle spasm. Nobody will sign off on it

I was amazed to find this Emperor Dragonfly emerging from lava in our pond on Saturday. In my eagerness to get a good photo got myself into a twisted awkward position. Something in the side ( towards front) of my ribcage sort of ‘clicked’ and gave instant sharp pain. Since then its been really sharp

Omeprazole and feet
I have compensated cirrhosis. I like writing this as previously I was decompensated and very ill. Delighted that my recent bloods look really good, all normal apart from 2 inflammation/infection markers, even my liver function tests were normal for the first time in many years! I have had a few "blips
