asthmatic response to new rug made in India
I bought a new, woollen rug shortly before Christmas 2023. It immediately caused me to go from being virtually free of asthma symptoms to being in need of steroid inhaler and frequent ventolin doses - I was very short of breath, my lungs were irritated and when exercising, swimming or walking, I’d

Having a tough time
I’ll try and cut a long story short if possible. Diagnosed with IBS-D around 12/13 years ago. Also have generalised anxiety disorder amongst other things. Currently going through a tough time, changing anti depressants currently so I don’t know if it’s me or the meds/withdrawals talking. Am moving

So mid 2021 I was diagnose with Cirrhosis. I had a Liver Function Test score of 126. I was told it was Alcohol related ( Yes I drank too much, but compared to many I wasn't heavy). I was told to wean myself off the alcohol ( I stopped instantly with no issues, although this isn't safe for everyone),

citalopram sudden withdrawal
i was prescribed 20 mg citalopram by my gp when my husband had a stroke in 2017, due to anxiety. I was recently rushed into Intensive Care for dangerously low sodium levels. Citalopram is one of the drugs causing this, along with omeprazole and ramipril. The hospital immediately stopped these 3 medications

B12 and Ferritin
I said I would post after my haematology consultation. I had a ferritin infusion in February after suspecting that I was ferritin/iron deficient as a result of research into ranges etc. I discovered that 30 can be regarded as ferritin deficient, a lot more than the bottom of the range 11 regarded as

Any suggestions for how to improve my poos
Hello all. My apologies for the title of this post, but I didn’t know how to phrase it. I was diagnosed with GCA in January 2023 and have been on Prednisone ever since, along with other meds that are given to mitigate the side effects of the Pred. I also started Methotrexate this January. My first attempt

long term omeprazole use
I was taking omeprazole for about 15 years and stopped in December last year, as I had done some research and found out it can affect stomach acid. No one told me to stop taking it. I don’t even know why I was put on it in the first place, up I think it was for IBS. I haven’t had any acid reflux or indigestion

Leg Pain
Hi all. I have posted before, my right leg is causing terrible pain from my bottom down to my foot. I also have pins and needles when I stand or walk. As the pain goes down the side the doc said he doubts sciatica. At first the physio has said arthritis, as the exercises made the condition worse

Silent reflux causing ongoing problems.
Good moening all. I'm not a regular poster but am hoping someone will relate to my situation and perhaps offer some helpful suggestions. I was diagnosed with a hiatus hernia nearly 30 yrs ago. I was put onto Omeprazole first, which didn't suit me, then changed to Lansoprazole which I've taken ever since

Is it absolutely necessary to take omeprazole before Prednisolone?
I am on my second round of Prednisolone and have been told by the doctor that I must take omeprazole as well even though I’ve got osteoporosis. I have always taken it an hour before breakfast then Pred with my breakfast but wondered how long before can I take omeprazole. For instance will it still work
