Stuctured exercise
Hiya, I have had one partial knee replacement (half a knee replacement). Excellent results pain free. Have another partial on other knee scheduled for Jan 2017. I do walk best I can and can do 2 or 3 mile with painkillers, but I'm looking for more structured exercise than will be kind to my knee. Because

Post Rituximab wipe-out
I had my first cycle of Rituximab last November. I felt I needed another around April/May, but it was postponed so that I could have my knee replacement. I also had to stop Mrthotrexate two weeks before the op. Apart from the fact that I developed Cellulitis and that the first two weeks was much more

New, seronegative, and feeling awful!
Hello everyone. I have only just been diagnosed with an inflammatory arthritis (not really sure which type as yet). I have had three intramuscular shots of steroid, shots into the shoulders, and have just had my sulfasalazine increased to two tablets three times a day. Started meds in May this year.

Knee
Hi all just want to ask your opinion. I had a arthroscopy and then had a pulmonary embolism, so very lucky to be here. I was on warfarin for 6 months and the doc took me off it. 5 days off I had another embolism. Ok I now need a knee replacement but I am high risk. I have had my pre op now frightened

Donations
Hi Maz, This is a question for you. I would like to donate the £40 to MPN Voice received from the recent survey and wondered the best way to do this? I am so grateful for all the advice, help and support I have been given throughout the years, it is the least I can do. I will be trying to hold a coffee

Living with Rheumatoid Arthritis for 40 years
My Rheumatoid Arthritis started when I was 18 years old. Since then I have had 3 left hip replacements, 2 right hip replacements, fused C1/C2 with metal plate in neck, right knee replacement, and 4 plastic knuckle replacements on right hand. I believe in having a positive attitude, a good laugh and

Knee replacement pain control
Help my new knee has been in for a week. I spent additional days in hospital because of the pain and needing the 90 degree bend. Now I am home and desperate to "get on with it" but pain levels during and after physio are unbelievable. Does anyone have any tips or advise apart from more painkillers?

Still in pain after two years Knee Replacement
I had a total knee replacement almost two years ago and I have been ill ever since. When I filled in the hospital form I told them in the allergy section that I was allergic to Nickle, when I came around after the operation I started being sick but put it down to the anesthetic, I was still being sick

Hi guys, hope you're all well. I'm 34 & was diagnosed with RA when I was 22, mainly affected by my right toes & both knees. I had an X Ray on both knees & it's just bone on bone now. They won't give me knee replacements until the disease calms down, as I've been told it's pretty high. I've recently been

What is an ANA test?
My husband got diagnosed with RA in April of 2015, but was awaiting two knee replacements for osteo-arthritis in his knees, at the time. As he also has a chronically infected condition affecting his lungs, (bronchiectasis,) the local hospital didn't really want to do his knee replacements at all and

Working with a disability
I have just been awarded a PIP Payment does anyone know if this affects my employment i.e am I classed as disabled or does it restrict what i can do at work. My personal problem is walking distance after knee surgery and getting infected so it's pain related rather than kneeling working at a bench climbing

Yet more unhelpful advice from a doctor (again and again)
One of my symptoms is that if I sit down I suddenly shut down during the day, I can be just siting there, on a laptop, holding a cup of tea or even TV remote control and I am gone. Recently went through several Medico Legal examinations and when I mentioned this 2 queried whether I should be driving

Right groin area excruciating pain when weight put on it or if I try to move it out from covers and pick it up. pain in back knee & butt.
Hurts so bad I hate to have to get up to go to restroom. It's been going on for4 weeks. Finally say dr who did my knee replacement on same side. He x-rayed knees and hips and said he thinks it's coming from L5. I also have DDD. HAS ANYONE HAD SOMETHING SIMILAR AND DID YOU FIND RELIEF? He put me on steroids
