I need answers
I had a total knee replacement done 18 months ago and have progressively had more pain with each month passing. My toes cramp all the time and there is significant pain behind my knee which shoots pain I have been down my leg and into my hip. Do you think The prosthesis might be causing the problem.

Funny thing....
As some of you will know, I had both knees replaced together, two years ago . On the whole, an excellent job done. However, now and then, the left knee, without warning, will buckle on me. Having gotten used to this happening, in so far as it no longer surprises me as such, I’ve noticed over the past

Carla Harwell MD believes Churches can promote health.
Memphis has scores of African-American churches, where members are referred to as the body of Christ. But too many African-American congregants aren’t taking care of their own bodies – which is one reason why Memphis is the second fattest city in the nation. And if that doesn’t change, fewer black people

Mouth Ulcers
I’m posting for my husband who has RA - he’s not very good with technology, so here I am on his behalf! I’m just wondering if anyone else gets mouth ulcers? He gets them often and nothing seems to help them clear up and they’re terribly painful. I wonder what causes them - could it be his meds? The

(Almost) a year to the day - thank you C25K
So other than improving my health and fitness it has had a
knock
-on effect of improving theirs too. Unfortunately, last Autumn my
knee
injury made a return visit. My GP told me that I would need to stop running for at least a month. I was gutted. It made me re-evaluate a few things.

I have just come out of hospital after another knee op had three replacements and then a revision knee replacement all on the same knee as the others did not work, still had problems so Mr Spencer Jones had me back in for another operation, he found so much inflammation around the implant and removed

Total Knee Replacement
I'm new here. I had severe pain in my right knee, could only walk slowly with the aid of a stick. I had a total knee replacement nearly 4 years ago. A great improvement. I still get some pain, but nothing like it was. Can walk pretty well as far as I want although still have to be careful up and down

Sever popping and cracking left knee
After I lay down to go to sleep, every time atleast 3x a night when I must go to use the bathroom, it sounds like popcorn and the pain is unbarrable. I'm going to get a PKR in January, but until then what can I take for pain. And what are my better options a TKR or PKO since I have the crackling pain

Hi, Can anyone who has experience recommend a surgeon/hospital for a total knee replacement anywhere in Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire or possibly Cambridgeshire, please ? Thanks.

PMR since Sept 2017
After my original post, I think it was PMRpro that asked for a more indepth description of my journey. I have an appointment in December 2017 with my Rheumy and am wondering what questions I should ask. So here is my journey: February 22, 2017 – Saw Dr Gio for pain behind my clavicle bone he ordered

I was dagnosed with RD 3.5yrs ago, been on Enbrel, Rituximab and Tocilizumab. My last infusion was 4 weeks ago... Today I start new treatment. Baricitinib which is a JAK inhibitor. No more infusions. I take one tablet a day along with my weekly 20mg of MTX. I'll be having a hip replacement as

New knee
So just saw my lovely Consultant at Nuffield he was very helpful we discussed tkr or partial so I have to wait for an appointment as he’s discussing with another doctor as he doesn’t do partial so hopefully will be a new year and a new knee or at least a partial KEEP FINGERS crossed 🤞 for a good outcome

I had knee replacement in left knee 18 years ago. Im having right knee replacement on my right knee in December. Then repair on my left knee next year. Just got through rotator cuff. Repair on left shoulder. Then it tore again and had reverse shoulder replacement surgery last July. So tired of surgery

Get ready for a laugh
When I pulled into the driveway and tried to open the door to get out of the car the car door was stuck and I found myself trapped in my car unable to open the door. I’ve had a total knee replacement so crawling over the console to get out the passenger side didn’t look promising. I also have problems

Undiagnosed Hand/Wrist/Arm Pain
Hi, I am in need of everyone’s suggestions. Almost five years ago I began feeling sharp pain in my left hand fingers while typing on the computer. Three days later I began feeling the pain in my right hand fingers. The pain eventually spread to my wrists and lower forearms to the point I had to begin

Anybody who has had a knee replacement...can you answer a question?
My friend, who is also my eldest's Godmother, had a bilateral knee replacement last week. I am currently making bath bombs for Christmas gifts....would sending my friend some be a good idea? Will she be able to use them? Thanks, Dani P.S. photos to be posted when this batch is cured!
