Hi all. I joined the forum a few days ago and have only replied to a couple of posts but not introduced myself. I just read the long post of advice (very helpful) from IannodaTruffe. I haven’t run for some years and had knee surgery in 2018 so I’m using the plan to get me out there. I gained a lot

Not polymyalgia!
After 5 years of taking steroids, gaining 2 stone and lots of pain, I was told that I had compressed fracture of lower spine and needed a knee replacement! Since stopping steroids I have lost 2 stone, told I have Osteoarthritis, less pain and feel much better. Linda

Time to make changes
Evening guys and gals I’ve got quite a physical job and I am pretty active, my partner and myself also eat fairly healthy meals but I don't seem to have an ‘OFF’ button at night, just through habit. It can be anything from cereal, to fruit. I have made excuse after excuse not to diet and it’s all

Not Coping
Hi everyone, Well, a few days ago I took quite a few tabs (from my prescribed antidepressants). My method was definitely a cry for help. I knew exactly how much more to take if I really wanted to commit suicide. My mother died 9mths ago, I fell out with my three brothers who were only after her money

What do you think?
Opinions please, I know we arent docs, just wondering if I should shut up and b a good patient or push for my wishes: Ive had PAF close to 5 yr( I think, lol), getting less and less frequent. My last episode was spring 2018. I was taking Flecainide as a pip, and metoprolol twice daily. 4 mo ago I asked

Pain, pain, pain
So just when I need to be at my best I fall apart! Hubby in hospital having had a knee replacement and I was determined to stay well and look after him for a change. However an awful flare up (they think vasculitis not RA) is doing its best to scupper those plans. Apart from constant pain in feet

Extreme pain at bottom of my back.
Hi everyone. As some of you will remember, I had a total shoulder replacement last month and it is wonderful. I can't believe how fast it has become good enough to lift it up and I am now dressing myself for the first time in almost two years. I am going to have a knee replacement next year so am hoping

One of the best ways to deal with Issues is with humor. So, on a lighter side:
You know you have MS when: ●Your four-year-old is better than you in memory games. ●You face-plant into the floor and only after wards you think, “I’m falling!” ●You’re on the phone with a dear friend and can’t remember who the heck she is. ●You pay the phone bill twice because you can’t remember that

New Visit to Neurologist
My legs have been going crazy recently. When I get a bad attack, my left leg which has a knee replacement can be so painful as well as restless. I also have a tumour my spinal cord which is monitored on an annual basis by an MRI scan I referred myself back to the neurologist I had previously attended

Clarityn
I’m on 1.25mg Bisoprolol and 50mg x 2 Flecainaide I usually use Clarityn antihistamine for bites and allergic reactions but now I’m not sure if I can take it. Had a partial knee replacement and got VERY itchy reaction to the dressing, driving me nuts. I used aloe Vera on it. Can anyone tell me if

What is pip
Just picked up on posts of people discussing benefits. I have had fibro for over 30 years and endometriosis before that. Applied for disability benefit when I first finished full time work 26 years ago, (aged 53) but because i only paid small stamp and was assessed as being fully fit ( which I wasn't
