Getting fed up not able to do things and not really knowing what I should and should not be

Joint replacement and allergies.
I apologise in advance for how long this post may become but I would value your views on this as I'm quite worried now. Over the past few years I have had both knees replaced due to extreme pain caused by having no cartilage left in them and bone rubbing bone. Before having the first one done I explained

Codeine and Docusate
I have suffered from Chronic diarrhoea for 18 years since I had my gall bladder removed. I have taken every pill and potion that exists to no avail. I eventually paid privately to see a Gastro Enterologist as I was at my wits end. He did an endoscopy and a colonoscopy and discovered that I have a particular

Robot Knee
It was last Tuesday I had my new robot knee. I did decide finally, on the morning of the op, to go for a spinal injection as opposed to a general anaesthetic. Over the weekend I'd watched a couple of videos of knee replacements and still had mixed feelings about the choice of anaesthetic. (A bit like

Knee replacement op.
Good morning. I 'm due to have a knee replacement op on Monday 28th Sept- 3 days time. However, I have a slight cold, caught from my little grandson last week. It's not a heavy head cold, but I'm concerned that my surgeon will postpone my op. Has anyone had this experience? Thanks.

Progress
After intensive tests, consultations and an iron infusion I have decided to go ahead and risk having a mastectomy with removal of some lymph nodes. The communication between my Rehumatologist, surgeon anaesthetist, diabetic nurse specialist and breast care nurses I do feel the best way forward is a mastectomy

Update
I haven't written a post for ages, the last one I wrote was about the journey I was taking in getting diagnosed with Cushings Disease, which is caused by too much Cortisol (steroids) being produced by a pituitary tumour. It is a rare condition, typical of me! One would have thought that having lots of

Today is the first day of the rest of my life!
Hi everyone, 9 weeks ago today I received my second total knee replacement. The first one was 7 months previous. Today I can walk pain free for a considerable distance. It is a life changing experience and means that my place between the rock and a hard place has opened up for me! After being in pain
