Ankle arthritis pain before Total knee replacement
Hi, I am having a total knee replacement in a few weeks after an 18 month wait due to Covid. I’ve had 2 steroid injections in it, the most recent one being 5 weeks ago. This made my knee feel much better although bone-on-bone on one side so walking bow-legged, I could get around that much better. However

Slow Healing
Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone has had the same dilemma. I need a full knee replacement and one of the things worrying and holding me back is the fact I seem to be a slow healer and I put that down to my PA, has anyone else been through anything similar.

Impending surgery concerns
Impending knee replacement and worried about impact anesthesia and post surgery pain killers could have on already level 3 liver disease. Has anyone undergone orthopedic surgery and how did it go? What I don’t want to happen is to get a new knee and then need liver transplant because of meds.

Advice needed post total knee replacement
Hi. I had total left knee replacement surgery on 5th May with lymphedema in the same leg (I have it bilaterally in legs, hands and arms) Since surgery I developed cellulitis that Dr's did not accept and treat until 2 weeks afterwards. I now have an itchy rash around my knee scar. Any advice greatfully

Done it!
The plan took 13 weeks due to an injury, but I've just done my first ever 5k. And I feel fine! For now, the plan is to get a better time, then to increase the distance. I've had hip replacement, knee surgery, stopped smoking, I'm 61 and feel great!

Hello, thank you for allowing me to join your group. I’ve only recently been told that I have severe osteoarthritis in my knees, and actually it’s quite bad, but unfortunately nearly all drs won’t consider me for knee replacements at this moment because I’m too young, I’m 53. I have to be 60, which I

Hi everyone - back again!
Hi everyone, I’ve been working hard to lose weight, and have gone from 116kg and am currently 84kg. I’m very happy with the weight loss and how much better I feel generally. I have MS and am waiting for a complete knee replacement. Things not easy, am not able to exercise apart from a very slow walk

I have arthritis in my feet. I cant kneel down. I am not comfortable with a customer facing job. Due to how I look and peoples

Put this on my phone ages ago and forgot about it, just started a weight loss with the most determination ever, spent 50 years attacking this from every angle and eventually failing. I am giving myself a target of 5 stone, more than I ever got to as when I’m half way there people usually say you look

CLL and surgery
I’ve recently had Bi-lateral knee replacement and it seems to be taking an age to show any sign of recovery. Does CLL impact on the recovery process. Anyone got a similar experience. Thanks.

Carrying on with Art with PD?
This is my husbands latest project. All his own drawings which he loves doing, now adding colour. Making a slide show took some doing. It’s like meditation for him and is very absorbing. He’s managed to do this all whilst looking after me as well, I’ve just had a second total knee replacement! He

Anyone been told to stop running by your doctor due to knee arthritis?
Had swelling in left knee after running. Doctor took a look at x-rays and said he was most concerned about the other knee (20 year old ACL repair). But only left knee hurts. He said to stop running or end up with knee replacements and then I’d never run again. Does that make sense? It sounded to me
