Hello has anyone had a knee replacement? Was just wondering if went ok with infection risks

I had a TKR two years ago , I had spinal anaesthetic and was home two days later. rehab was tough but uneventful.

I was due a total double knee replacement four years ago. Sadly I have never got to surgery because of infections, thyroid and other problems. Good luck with yours xx

Hi,I had both knees replaced last August and right knee never seemed ok got much worse and so had bone scan which shows infection am seeing surgeon on Friday for next steps but very fearful now about more surgery and outcomes. The risks are low for infection but do happen and I was in a very well thought of unit for surgery.
