Put this on my phone ages ago and forgot about it, just started a weight loss with the most determination ever, spent 50 years attacking this from every angle and eventually failing. I am giving myself a target of 5 stone, more than I ever got to as when I’m half way there people usually say you look too thin, rubbish I might look different at 16.10 to what I want but surely it’s up to me! I then follow the crowd and start thinking how much can I eat before I put the weight on, too late by then to go back. I’m logging everything now and much more energy, have double knee replacements and one dislocated 2 years ago so don’t do the gym thing anymore, cant swim, cant cycle now, and walking recently has been a problem. sorted this all out by using Nordic Walking Poles, been building my distance for three weeks and up to 8,000 steps extra on one walk that day 13,000 total, I wouldn’t have believed it possible, so I urge if you need it to push your embarrassment away and get out and listen to the birds and bees!!! I’m a keen! Keen gardener and very busy as we are now, just looking for a little hugs and cuddles and empathy❤️

Love the garden too and keeps me active. I really like the idea of nordic walking and will explore. I have hip issues though and have been told not to go for long walks so might take it is small steps. I have bought e bike which is working really well. Gets me out and can use battery boost when needed.
Thank you for getting back, I’m not really using my Poles to do great distances but had double knee replacements 14 years ago and one dislocated 2years ago. They are still fine but can’t get the turn to cycle now. They help greatly for balance and posture and apparently work every part of the body, I couldn’t get much more than 5 mins before pain but walk 15 mins now 3 times a day. Hope this helps, we have the garden in common, my son keeps getting me different types of fly catchers, hated them but now find them interesting, great for catching small snails and slugs. Hope you have had a good day, last COVID injection yesterday, felt off this morning but my dishwasher stopped and my husband annoyed me so much I forgot about that and had an extra walk to get out of his sightX great day tomorrow!!!!
